Q: Will 5.1 set up be okay with this 7.2 receiver? (7 answers)
A: Hi Tar Heel, Yes as long as the setup is correct. Thanks, >JoffreyQ: What speakers are recommended for this system (9 answers)
A: I am running Definitive Technology - ProCinema 600 speakers. My wife got them for me for christmas. They are really crisp. I know everyone says run a Denon receiver but I have all sony equipment. Now on a side note I would definitely upgrade the subwoofer. I use the one that came with the speakers as my rear sub. I have a Klipsh 300w that i have had for a few years as my front. If you step up to the Def Tech 800 series , I have read has better results. The only thing I did not like was the setup and owners manuals. They are a little lacking in info for hookups and such. BestBuy also has the stands that mount to the speakers really easy.Q: is posible to use 8 ohm speakers? (5 answers)
A: Hi there! Yes you can use 8 ohm speakers. -AnthonyQ: Is there a way to preset radio stations without connecting to TV? (2 answers)
A: No. There's no way. This must be connected to a TV for all operations. Thanks, >JoffreyQ: Would I be able to hook up only 5 speakers? (8 answers)
A: That should be no problem, as you would be using the front, center, and surround connections and not the "surround back/bi-amp" connections. Those are for a set of speakers in a different room, or outside, which you can have run separately. That is what 7.2 channel is designed for. If you only want a typical surround-sound arrangement, then a 5.1 or 5.2 -channel receiver would work.Q: Will the web based apps on my smart TV work since this reciever is not wifi enabled? (3 answers)
A: Yes your smart TV web apps will work regardless of whether or not the receiver has WIFI. Your smart TV has a WIFI receiver built in.- A: This AV receiver has 4 HDMI inputs so you should have plenty of places to plug in CD/DVD players and Smart TV.
Q: Subwoofer Plug size (2 answers)
A: No other connections needed. Raw wires will go under terminals. Banana plugs would look nice though
