Awful Receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The receiver did not work at all. I had it hooked up to my Epson 2045 projector and it would not transmit video consistently. I returned it and tried it another one and it still did not work.

Posted .Hello cmable2121, thank you for your message. That is unfortunate the Home Theater System did not meet your expectations. SONY takes into consideration all good or bad feedback to improve the performance and quality of our products. -Oscar.

Basic Receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is good for a beginner or basic surround sound system. I tried to use it with high end speakers and it kept going into Protector mode.

Easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The receiver was a good receiver if it worked. We had to return the first one we bought and replaced it with the same receiver. The second receiver seem to work better.

unable to rate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After purchasing this item in the store, I learned that it would not offer full 2 output capability and I traded it for the Yamaha 677. Nothing against the SONY.

Works As Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this receiver hoping to improve my surround sound, since I upgraded to a Samsung 4K television. Setup was challenging, but once I had everything done, I wasn't impressed with the sound or the remote. My 7 year old receiver gave me more options & choices to adjust the sound (except 3D pass through). After playing with it for 3-4 days, I returned it for a refund.

stopped working
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stopped working in less than two weeks after installation. When calling online number for best buy they said had to be taken to the store. We spent an hour and a half there dealing with geek squad. Ridiculous. Very sour after that experience. Been a week and haven't heard anything...

Absolutely fantastic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an all-in-one Samsung system to this receiver, the Klipsch Quintet Home Theater System, and a Klipsch R-10SW subwoofer. HOLY COW! The components sound fantastic! The receiver has incredible sound modes for both movies and music. I have 3 components coming into the HDMI IN on the receiver and the HDMI out obviously going to my TV. The sound is awesome. The Bluetooth works well with my iPhone 6. The manual is horrible. I have the app on my phone that lets you control the receiver, but I never use it. You can name each component in the receiver. I labeled "TV" as "Apple TV", "game" as "PS4", and "cable" as "TiVo". Anyway, the thing rocks. It does get hot at louder volumes, so I suggest making sure it has adequate ventilation. I would definitely buy it again.

Looks better then they work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item has a lot of proprietary parts issues, making it not compatible with run of the mill. Unless you are a tec geek, and don't care if you have a subwoofer, stay away.

Great, especially for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Real good investment. I bought a 65 Ultra HD TV with curved screen. It looked great in the store. I got it home and 2 things happened. The TV picture did not seem that good and sound hook up to my expensive but aging Denon surround receiver was somewhat difficult to say the least. I did some online research and then went right back to Best Buy and bought this Sony surround sound receiver. What a difference! Hook up and set up was a breeze. We had it connected and set up in about 30mins or less. It even helped the picture quality of my new TV. The picture was noticeably better due the newer technology and 4k HD pass through capability. Sound is excellent and power was more than the enough for my average size single family home living room. This receiver does all you need it to do and a bit more. It's a good sounding, reliable, easy to setup and operate receiver. It was worth every penny!!!!

Excellent, but
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st off I hate Sony, but for some reason Sony recievers always end up in my audio set up. This unit is the 4th Sony reciever in 30 years, I go all the way back to the STR-VX22 of 1984. Everytime I went to buy a reciever I went to find something higher end (Onkyo, Denon) but each time I ended up taking the other unit back. This time I bought a Denon and returned it a few days later and bought the DH750 and again i am very happy. Let me review it like this... 1. I bought the DH750 to replace a DH500, the DH500 worked fine I just wanted bluetooth and 7.2 channels. 2. If you are buying this reciever for an audio system you may want to avoid it and buy a more expensive unit that has more inputs. The inputs on this reciever are geared for video inputs (Blueray, DVD, Cable, Game and satellite. So if you still use a phonograph theres no dedicated input, if you still use a cassette or open reel there are no input/output (REC/Play). 3. most adjustments are done on screen so dont expect a lot of control while listening to music unless you cut on the TV and even then the choices are limited. 4. So far I have paired two phones and one tablet, and the remote will allow you to go forward, back, pause and stop. With all that said, I still hate Sony.....I just love to hate them! I have music from the 70's and 80's that came alive with new demension. I can hear sounds in the music that have been absent for 30+ years. For under 300 clams you will not find a better deal. In 30 years I have bought 4 Sony recievers and one Sony integrated amplifier, guess what???? They all still work! I bought the first when I was 18 and I'm 50 now. Reliability - Sony, Quality - Sony, Value - Sony! Sony the one and only (people who know, know what that means). ps. Don't hate, just excuse my spelling and grammer.

Excellent A/V Receiver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Words can't describe this Sony A/V Receiver. It has everything you need to upgrade your old receiver. Superior sound quality. Very modern case. If you have poor vision, no problem just load it to your TV by the push of a button. Easy instructions with pictures. If you need more instructions just download them off the internet--everything you need, with pictures and very detailed. Romote is easy to see, and use. Sales people make you feel right at home, Eager to help. Thank you Best Buy. Looking forward to my next purchase. Michael
