Great stereo so far. Goods are obvious: carplay, snappy interface, really clean GUI at home screen, volume knob, great build quality, full graphic EQ, sounds excellent! Bads: USB right under the volume knob is weird ergonomics (wish it was in the back), no album art when streaming Bluetooth, screen REALLY shows oil from fingerprints. Plus I don't think you can add custom wallpaper. But those are all nitpicky.

I chose this model because it is one of the few options with a front-facing USB port AND a rotary volume knob. However, track selection is only available through the touchscreen. Sounds good and does the job, though.

Bought this for my 2007 Tacoma and it sounds amazing by just using my stock JBL speakers, Sub and Amp. Screen could be bigger but quality and sound is GREAT! Apple carplay is so solid!!!

My husband installed one of these in my truck and I love it! So, I gave one to my daughter for her birthday. Our hands free laws were enacted here in GA so it was imperative to install something that was bluetooth compatible with our Apple phones. This is very easy to operate. Just a note for our less tech savvy crowd! My daughter loves that her music plays from her library on her phone!

Solid radio with plenty of useful features at a decent price. Install wasn’t difficult, and I’m pretty happy with this purchase.

This relatively affordable head unit is simple and just works. It offers flawless Apple Car play capabilities for a car that would otherwise not have it.

Good price, does the job on our 17 Jeep Wrangler. Replaced original radio with this one just to add Apple Car Play, without over spending.

Affordable CarPlay solution with just enough adjustability to put it a notch above lower end competition. Screen visibility is good, not great, in bright sun and is responsive enough for the price. High and Low pass filters, along with sub level makes dialing in after market speakers and sub a breeze. Low voltage on outputs means turning up the gain a bit but not a deal breaker. Built in amp pushes factory speakers nice and even high efficient or 3ohm speakers fairly well. Over all a budget friendly, nice sounding, head unit for those who don’t need all the extra bells and whistles.

Great upgrade for an old car. apple play works great. having a physical volume dial is also nice

This is in my wife's Beetle. She wanted a a radio with a volume button. This one has one and one of the few left that does. It is her car.

I love this product. I like that the CarPlay is connected with ISB, it allows for phone charging while staying connected! The only down fall is that I cannot get the product to keep the settings to stay after turning of the car.

This meets my needs - I was looking to upgrade the unit in an older car to include Apple Car Play and this meets my needs. The volume knob is a little too small, but, at least it has a dial, many similar priced models do not.

Had to upgrade my radio after my $90 Kenwood one died on me. I'm so glad I decided on this Sony radio with Apple Carplay. I have a 2010 VW Jetta so the USB port in the front was a necessity for me since my car does not have one in the console. Best Buy installed it for me and it was easy to learn the controls. The only "issue" I noticed is if I put my car in reverse before the radio boots up completely it will give me a message that says "No Video Singal", I think it is trying to look for a backup camera. I can still play and control music on my phone, but there is no display on the screen unless I turn off my car and restart it. But that doesn't really bother me, I just can't rush out of my driveway anymore, lol!!

This Sony head unit checks all the boxes: responsive, nice-looking user interface; Apple CarPlay support; and an honest-to-goodness real volume knob.

It was better than I thought it would be. The guys that installed it for me were the best part of the deal. They're explanation of it, and their professionalism and timely manner with it's installation was really the highlight of the entire experience.
