Works great. Improved the stereo sound quality tenfold in my 2009 4runner. Apple CarPlay works great.

This is really quite a nice unit. The display is very sharp and clear and having the USB port right on the front is very convenient for using CarPlay. I'm happy that Geek Squad was able to retain my steering wheel controls and backup camera in my 2015 Toyota Corolla. One thing to note, if some of your steering wheel controls don't work like you want you can customize them within the settings of the stereo.

Really happy with my purchase. Had almost for a month and so far so good. The microphone sounds great during calls, CarPlay is amazing and music sound is also really good. I got it installed in my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac.

I got Uconnect with my car which didn’t have carplay and no technology.. I got this in my Dodge Grand Caravan and I have carplay , best music player with equalizer and all my apps are shown on screen. You can even set maps from the touch screen of this player. I am so happy with this product!!

Solid unit, nothing fancy but it works great. Very snappy response in the UI. I installed a usb wireless car play adapter and it works well. I like the physical volume knob.

The radio works perfect . The buttons and screen work good aswell. The auto dim light feauter does not really dim tat night or bright up in the day. I also got a trea back up camera and works perfect.

Apple CarPlay works perfectly with this unit. I haven’t tried any media or movie playback with the usb but it has good audio. I am very happy with this, and at $249 it’s very affordable.

We bought this for our daughter's vehicle ('05 Ford Escape) last summer. She loves it. Everything works as it should. Best Buy installed it for free and it fits perfectly. We almost bought one that was a little less expensive without Apple CarPlay but we are so glad we got this one. She uses Apple CarPlay all the time using her phone - for music, navigation, and hands free calling.

Got this as an open box, but item works really well. It did not contain the mic that comes with a new item but I found a way to integrate my cars existing mic so that everything works. Steering wheel controls also were maintained with a separate steering wheel control adapter. Given the power this puts out, I now want to replace my stock speakers for a better match.

I recently purchased this stereo and had geek squad install. It is a wonderful stereo and I reall enjoy being able to use  car play. My factory stereo in my 2013 Corolla was on the way out so needed to replace and I chose this stereo for the added features. No regrets here!

TL;DR The display is not bright enough for use in daylight hours. The receiver is almost perfect. The capacitive screen is very responsive to touch. Boots up very quickly on ignition. If your iPhone is plugged before ignition, the player boots immediately into CarPlay. But even if you connect the phone after after ignition, the switch to CarPay is immediate. CarPlay is smooth. Switching between apps is a breeze. Integrates very well with steering wheels controls. (except I couldn't get the phone buttons to program). The UI is kinda bland, but since I mostly use CarPlay I wouldn't have minded. BUT! I had my receiver installed in store, and it was overcast day later in the afternoon when I left the store so I didn't notice this immediately, but the screen is very DIM! It wasn't until the next day when I was driving out on a sunny midmorning that I discovered that I could barely see the screen from lack of brightness. It's fine late afternoon to mid morning. But when the sun out bright, you cannot seen the screen (see attached photos!). I shoulda done more research but I assumed the brightness wouldn't be an issue on a car radio designed by Sony. According to the spec sheet on the Sony website, the display on the receiver maxes out at 450 nits. Compare that to my iphone 12 mini, whose display maxes out at 625 in normal mode (1200 in HDR!). I will be taking my radio back to Best Buy to see if there wasn't something incorrectly installed or if I'm using some setting I'm supposed to, but if they can't fix this I will be returning the radio. The good aspects of the radio don't matter if I cannot see it during daylight hours.

Great sound with amps hooked up. Only downside is that it doesn't come with mounting screws. Looks oem in my truck. Doesn't lag and UI is pretty neat.

Got it for her for christmas since her car was an older model that didn’t have any bluetooth or navigation system. She loves the Apple Carplay feature and the system sits fits well in her 2010 Hyundai!

I have installed a number of dash units and this one is the best. Living in Arizona exposes my vehicle to insane temperatures and my previous dash units would over heat. This leads to disconnecting and reconnecting the dash unit at the battery terminal. This unit has never overheated once and can withstand the heat without any issues. To top it off, the UI is snappy and responsive along with excellent build quality. At this price point, I would mark this unit as the minimum you should purchase.
