Made sense to make the investment and avoid a car payment. She absolutely loves it. We replaced the external camera version and this is 1000% better. The Geek Squad did an amazing job installing and explaining all the features to her. The experience was wonderful. Thank you!!

Not impressed

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it on April 3 but the installation didn't happen until May 10 and as of this review, I have used it less than a month after installation and I already have had 2 issues. The first issue where the CarPlay icon would not show up. I even reset my iPhone and swapped out the cable but the only solution was to press and hold the "home" button on the Sony Apple CarPlay device for 10 seconds for it to restart the system and that fixed it. The second issue happened where nothing was responding on the screen. I pressed the tuner button and the home button but again nothing worked until I held the home button on the Sonly Apple CarPlay for 10 seconds to restart the system again. Less than a month and already dealing with these 2 issues. I checked the firmware and it has the latest firmware.

Good stereo

Those guys were great to deal with! This is a basic stereo. I bought it because I wanted SiriusXM. It read SiriusXM "READY". I thought that meant I just has to subscribe......no. You have to buy the SXM tuner to plug in to the stereo. Naturally I was a little taken back when I had to go back to Best Buy to buy the tuner, plus another install had to happen.

FM fidelity great Blue tooth could be better

Device has great FM fidelity but the Bluetooth channel has some distortion at higher volumes. The stereo interfaces well with iPhone and “hands off” perfectly to my Shokz headset.
