I wired this up to my 99 Tacoma and when switching on vehicle power, the unit smoked from the inside. I spent 3 days making sure my wiring was correct, tracing my ground connection, confirming with multiple sources that each wire was connected where it needed to be. I even took it to Car Toys and showed them my wiring, which they agreed was proper, and nobody could figure this one out. I returned this, bought a cheap $80 JVC, hooked up the wiring the same exact way, and it works perfectly. Maybe I just got a bad one, but it didn't work for me, so I can't rate it anything higher than a 1.
