Unsatisfied

The radio is ok but is very dim and hard to see in the sun. Installation went good but now it doesn’t work sometimes and shows no radio connections. I called the store and told them and asked the technician to call me and it’s been a week since then and no call. Very disappointed in the customer service. If I could I would return it and get a different radio.

The reason for the one star is that the screen is completely useless when the sun is shining. I’ve adjusted the brightness to full and it still looks like it’s turned off 90 percent of the time. The screen also seems a bit flimsy. There’s a lot of give to it when you’re touching the screen. The screen in my Jeep Grand Cherokee which came with a factory touchscreen has no give to it when you’re using it and you can always see the screen. When I’m backing up in the sun and I want to see the screen, I have to lean over the center console and take my sunglasses off to see it which takes attention away from also looking around for traffic which means I don’t use it much. I definitely do not recommend this stereo.

Love the radio

The person that sold me the radio wasn’t helpful at all though but the install guy was awesome.

Over-priced Generic garbage

It is a single-din head unit with a double-din screen. The average consumer will not see that as an issue but for someone who has spent their life installing stereos it is a pain in the a... The installation is extremely challenging when you are purchasing a double-din stereo installation kit and expecting a double-din stereo. Also, this thing is severely over-priced. The basic functions are all you get. There are no "bells and whistles" that warrant the steep price tag. There is no CD/DVD drive.

Hidden Costs

When we arrived for the installation appointment, the guy immediately asked if I had all the installation parts. It was as if this is a recurring problem for the installer. The salesman told me I would need some wires and said I could buy them on site from the installer. He did not have the parts I needed and no one mentioned ahead of time that they would cost $350. I’m not even sure if there is a cheaper way to get the installation done. My daughter started crying because I’m going to have to return the CarPlay unit. I was going to call and complain to Bestbuy, but I am certain they don’t care. I will not purchase anything else from this company.

Car Play- onlt get if you can install yourself!!!

They didn't know if her car needed parts to install. They wanted us to spend another $300 on parts to see maybe/if she needed it. It was a Christmas gift, after trying to figure out the installation issue, we wanted to return it to Best Buy. They would not return it because it was too long after purchase. It Christmas gift and we could not even get the install people to schedule it for 30 days, to even know there was a problem! So yeah, it had been a couple of months since purchase. It was still in the box and wrapped. I finally said forget this and sold it privately to someone after this bad experience i do not recommend.

Ok radio but drained our battery 2 times

Also the handsfree sound is not as good as the original car radio. You have to plug in your iphone into the USB for the car play to work. If you have a new iphone 13, you have to use an older USB connector because it doesn't have the new USB-c that the new iphone uses. But overall it works.

Terrible parts being used for install

Tech told us harness is frequently defective and this is likely to reoccur. Live too far away to keep dealing with these crappy parts.

Just ok
