1. It only does apple car play. You may think "oh well i dont use an android phone" - well later you realize how slow iphones are even in 2021 and decide to switch to android, this thing in your car is useless now so you're pretty much stuck with iphone 2. the audio quality is absolute dog crap. My stock speakers are really nice and the dac in the stock unit was WAYYY better. With this unit the audio sounds incredibly compressed and hurts your ears and just awful awful quality. Unusably bad quality. 3. One of the reasons I got it was because of the volume knob. You may think its a great idea, but then you quickly realize that the way it's positioned your finger will constantly hit the map button while using carplay. I hate this thing so much and now its too late to return and even if i was able to return it I would have to pay to get it removed and put my stock unit back in. I really wish I had paid a little bit more and got a better unit. I will never buy a sony car audio product ever again.

Display is not bright enough and can't be adjusted. It gets worse when the sun hits it. It can get very dim when driver is wearing sunglasses and looking at GPS. Apple® CarPlay™ is hit or miss. Half of the time, I have to plug and re-plug to connect. Sometimes it goes up to three times.

Worked for a year, and then just quit for no reason. Avoid.

It took nearly six hours for this installation. The time of it all was ridiculous enough, but what was worse is that it wasn’t even done properly. The microphone does not work and the radio itself seems to be defective. The screen freezes every couple of minutes, the volume knob won’t work at times, the sound cuts out until the unit has a hard reset performed on it, the rear view camera turns off the video display after the first use and so much more. I’ve contacted the store and their installer and they have yet to provide with anything, but a “Sorry it didn’t work out.” This whole experience has been extremely unpleasant.

The glare is so bad that I wish I would have had it uninstalled and returned it. I even bought an anti-glare screen protector for this specific model and it’s still garbage.

I bought three units, this unit fit my older truck, front USB, okay unit but I prefer Pioneer better

Car play starts freezing after few months when you get texts. the call would drop all of a sudden.

Be careful when purchasing. Product says free installation but it’s not clear on the website that you have to schedule at the time of purchase. I was not aware and Best Buy would not honor the free installation so I will be returning the item.

The car stereo is what I expected. Good bass and good radio recption in the mountains

The only problem that I have with this radio is that it does not have a dvd player.

Sound was fine, but not compatible with my steering wheel controls and was only slightly better screen vision than my other other unit. I was also told that it was compatible with my Android phone and is was not. It was only compatible with the iphone.

Works as it should just very basic and plain. Not many features.

Works fine. However, it is hard to navigate. Still haven't figured out how to make the Bluetooth work.

My only complaint is that there is a BAD echo on the receiving end. whenever I’m talking with apple car play, using CarPlay and hands free is pretty much why I bought this in the first place. The fact that I can’t use CarPlay and talk on the phone is pretty disappointing, considering the money I shelled out for the unit and then the additional 200.00 for the wiring.

Radio keeps failing. We have been back to Best Buy once already and unit is dead again. Tech told us harness is frequently defective and this is likely to reoccur. Live too far away to keep dealing with these crappy parts.

Bought this for my husband- wasn’t cheap. Did the installation from Best Buy, and it very rarely works or connects. Went to push it in for a better fit and it just completely shattered with the slightest touch. I think the installation was too tight a fit, not to mention it never connected.

When I use the knob the touch screen is activated otherwise it’s great

The reason for the purchase was to have satellite radio had to make additional purchase after the install to be able to have satellite. The unit that was installed does not have a CD player. I am not very up to date on today’s electronics but made it very clear what I wanted Went to Best Buy instead of a audio store. My mistake
