Worked from the start until it became glitchy

I want love this radio but the experice is just plain awful.

If the display panel on the car stereo receiver is dim or does not light, the connectors may need to be cleaned or there may be a mode setting that needs to be adjusted. Please check the dimmer settings of the head unit by following the steps on this link:

I wish I could replace it.

I can't get clear reception for even for our local radio stations. The sound keeps fading out here and there and I'm not in a tunnel. It seems like there's no antenna for reception in this radio. I don't like it. For me, the cost of $500 plus was far to much.

We didn’t get it installed until after the 14 day return window so we have no options to return it. It constantly freezes, phone calls are impossible, it crashes constantly.

CarPlay only works intermittently

There's a firmware update available that might fix this, but I haven't been able to install the firmware using Sony's instructions.

Constant issues with performance and connectivity

Also when connected to an iPhone through carplay, and even bluetooth, there is issue with the audio of calls. Especially if a Facetime call tries to come in...the whole thing gets out of wack.

misleading information

The radio freezes, I did a firmware update and it did not solve anything.

Bad Apple?

Calls are dropped and screen freezes up. While on calls I can’t use the Nav screen. so frustrating! Not sure if I should get the same replacement or buy a Kenwood. Geek Squad did a superb install but now they’re closed! I’m going to be upset if I can’t return this

Have no sound! I have only had this radio for 6 months. Too bad I bought this Sony; I thought they had a good product. Guess I will have to eat the cost of this radio and buy one that works!!!
