My only complaint is that the wiring diagram in the Manual didn’t explain that we needed to add the red wire to the blue wire. I believe that this could cause a radio to be returned as it won’t work with out it wired properly.

horrible unit, freezes/carplay doesn't connect..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.had this installed a few years ago (2021) and it work ok for a first year or so, fast forward to 2023..gave car to my daughter (2016 corolla) and it hasn't worked right in the year and half shes had it. freezes, car play won't work. etc. the only thing that works (for a few days) is to disconnect the negative battery cable and that seems to fix it for a few days then right back to the random freezing and carplay not working etc. at least the bluetooth works that's the only reason i gave this 1 star. NEVER again sony. quality has really gone downhill. not sure if it was installation error or what, but after this was installed, my car battery would die in 3 days if i didn't drive the car. if i had known i was going to have all these issues, i would have never bought this. whole reason i bought it was to make the car safer for my daughter to drive and the carplay functions. and there are hidden costs as well, to the tune of 100-300.00 EXTRA in adapters that you need for steering wheel controls and backup camera. so, if you do get aftermarket carplay installed be aware of these hidden costs.
