We did a lot of research before getting this unit—at the time of purchase, it was highly rated and yet affordable. Others may have had a different experience than us. The unit had problems from day one. We had to send it back twice to be tested, and they finally decided it was defective. While Sony has a good name, I would steer clear of this unit and go with the next level up.

Very difficult to see the screen and the functions are not user friendly. Worst $800 I ever spent

The system works but cant see anything in sunlight. Generally ok system.. was expecting better from Sony. Would recommend going for other brand.

VERY disappoint with AM sound quality. Therre is STATIC in the background even on local stations. Also- this may be petty - but the time display shrinks to a tiny font when radio is on.

Great item after Sony replacement because was defective

Bought this receiver do to the ratings . CarPlay worked for one week and now doesn’t work 90% of the time . Going to Best Buy as soon as I have time to see if there’s anything they can do to resolve this issue . For as much money as it cost you would think it would work . Buyer beware if your buying this for apple carplay stay away it doesn’t work at all . Have to plug in many times for it to pop up then it will disconnect whenever. Worst Best Buy purchase to date .

Garbage - does not come with everything you need. By the time I was able to source the proper wiring harnesses, after installation the radio did not have any audio. Tried chatting with customer service but they are no help at all. Customer service is "sourced" and they have zero expertise, don't expect any actual help. Because of the time it took to get my wiring harnesses, now I cannot even return this thing. Buying at Best Buy was a huge mistake and I regret it.

For the price, I'm not impressed. If I had to do it over again I'd buy something else. The visual interface is not attractive and there is very little ability to do anything about it.

After 2 months of on and off functionality the screen just stopped turning on. I do not recommend this stereo.

Love it. It’s great to have a working radio with Bluetooth.

This receiver is junk, had it for 2 weeks. After 10 - 40 minutes of use, it would sound like my speakers were blown. I had the unit replaced and the same thing happened. Tech found that the unit kept over heating. I also had issues with glare. After I had replaced this with another brand, I've had no issues since.

stereo was recommended by service technician. not overly excited about it, cant balance side to side or front to back but sound quality is good and all the other features are good

Gets the job done and still much better than our original head unit. We live in a sunny region, and when the sun shines on this, you just can't see anything.

Can not see the screen well, too much glare and lack of clarity. Would like to use my own wallpaper background. Fidelity not great

I had high expectations for this head unit because of the higher ratings on Bestbuy, but it turns out it is an okay head unit; the buttons are clicky, no mute button, and OK graphics. I would buy the alpine head unit instead

Car play works intermittently at best. Terrible glare from moderate sunlight. Dimming options are either too bright. Or too dark. There’s only the 2 options. Would not recommend. Would return if Best Buy accepted installed electronics. Much better options for same or less money.

The screen doesn't sit flush in my dash just the top sticks out and instead of telling me i needed another piece to make my aux cord look nice they just hung out out the side of it
