Nice radio but only if I could see it during the day. Totally useless screen, reflective to the point where you cannot see it when there is any light. So sorry I bought this and now I'm stuck with it. Only bought it because it was the only unit available with every thing else was sold out. Live and learn.

I had this system installed for my Acura TL 2012 and it kept having constant buzzing noises (without music playing) & bad sound quality with no bass with music playing. Had to keep coming back three times to get it fixed and finally got it right. Now I was told I cannot play the music too too loud, or it will cause the static sounds. I do not recommend this product.

Not enough features/apps for a $439 radio.It's not a quality radio.

The unit showed it is compatible with my car however, the very helpful Best Buy installer could not hook-up a backup camera since the Ford model I drive has the polarity in the backup taillights opposite of many other vehicles. In other words the camera would have been on when I was in drive and then would go off when I put my car in reverse.

Had it installed. Ans cant access XM Sirus platform. Keepa giving messafe ti check tuner.

Not a very optional unit. Most kindergarten kids could put it in the power wheel and be dissatisfied

Had it for a little over a year and it worked great but all of a sudden im unable to use the android auto due to an overcurrent malfunction. If you buy this be sure to get the warranty cause its not the best quality. The manufacturer says to update it but the only usb port doesnt work so yeah cant do that.

The radio is not working consistently after 9 months. The Back up camera doesn't work about 3-4 times a month, and the usb loses connection as well. I am trying to get car back to geek squad, cannot call the line is choppy cant get anywhere, and the online chat says they cant book appointment.

We had this installed by the technician, he did the software update and it bricked the unit. He apparently had the same issue with the model a week earlier. Avoid until software issues resolved.

I don’t have a single call completed without a freeze.

Worst am/fm reception I have ever had. Returned to see if it could be improved, minimal improvement. If you leave vehicle when running the unit locks up and vehicle has to be shut off and restarted to reboot unit. I am replacing it.

The only good thing I can say about it is that the sound is good. Everything else sucks. Expensive. Software is plain... It does not work well. After a while it gives me a message "USB device not supported". I do not recommend. Stay away.

Was glitchy from the get go, especially the Apple Car Play. The whole device finally crapped the bed a month after the warranty expired. Best Buy is great and doing their best to work with me.

Probably never buying a sony head unit again. Soul reason I bought this unit was for the Apple CarPlay. Doesn’t work. I’ve reached out to Sony and they are supposedly sending me a new one but “we see this problem a lot” mhmmm maybe fix it?

Purchased this radio on 11-07-2020. I am bringing it back on 12-12-2020 for the THIRD AND LAST TIME. I want it pulled out of my truck and replaced with something that works.

Had this receiver installed and was very disappointed in the screen quality and brightness - can barely see the screen during the day.

So I ordered this on sale and the installer guy said it’s not compatible with my car so they had to put a different head unit and i have to pay extra.

Not going to lie, I purchased this as an open box item and crucial items were missing (not listed as missing). I returned it a couple weeks later. I'm sure that a brand new items would work perfectly.

This install is for Yukon 2007. I was initially looking at the AX1000 but read reviews for the Yukon/Tahoe indicating the wires location on the unit required modifications in the back to fit the unit. However, this unit is shorter so installation is extremely easy. I used the RP5-GM31 kit, wired the radio cable to the kit at my desk and then installed in the Yukon in less than 30 minutes. Mic install took the longer to snake the wire. As for use, I got this unit because of Apple car play. the xa1000 only had apple car play and this unit was only $30 more. there are basic feature in the stereo, can play various media files, Ran great right after install. I used waze, google maps, siri, ..etc and all worked well. I also used tune in radio and worked well. Sound quality for calls was much better than what i used in the past. Also since its apple car play, it can be upgraded when needed. I really was not looking for anything fancy especially with apple carplay.
