They say it’s compatible with my car but after my appointment to geek squad to install it they say it’s not going to work with my car what a waste of time

I installed this Sony XAV-AX3000 head unit myself, and so far I've been very pleased with it. Yes, its a resistive-based display, but it's very sensitive to touches and swipes, and it has not been any sort of issue whatsoever. In fact, it's a blessing when it comes to living in the Midwest, because it'll work just great during gloves-required weather! Aside from that, the screen does fade a little bit in heavy sunlight, but is still very visible to interface with. The sound quality is top-notch, the included mic works really well for all the voice-activated functionality, and the software is sleek and easy to use. All in all, this is an ideal low-cost Carplay unit with great sound!

I was looking for a CarPlay console for my 2013 Corolla after coming back for a trip to Cali. My rental car had CarPlay and it was a fantastic experience. I really enjoy the large screen, the sound sounds way better than the factory radio I had, boots up quickly after turning the car on, and is pretty snappy. While I wish it was a capacitive touchscreen, I am aware this is why this version is $200 less (although the resistive touchscreen is pretty responsive). All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. I wanted a great CarPlay console for under $300 and that's exactly what I got.

I've done a TON of research on finding the best double din radio with Carplay. Most radios these days are very dated and slow. I would never buy anything that didn't have Carplay, it's just not worth it. This radio gave me GPS and many apps from my phone. While it's not wireless, the geek squad techs made sure to play the USB in a nice discreet place. You will need to update the firmware once you get it installed because there is an issue with phone calls. This radio brought more wattage to my stock speakers and enhanced the sound by a mile. My favorite feature besides Carplay would be the Extra Bass option from Sony. If you are looking for a Apple/Android radio, buy this ASAP.

Not a bad radio. There are definitely better out there. But you can get better ones for the price

I brought this item for my car and it makes it look brand new.... I love the sleek style, Bluetooth, carplay etc. The only problem that I have with it is that the maps in carplay has a very slow reaction, so its easy to get lost while driving. When I'm using the gps I just put the Bluetooth on and hold the phone in my hands instead of using the carplay…

It’s a great radio! Touch screen is very responsive

I stood in the store for almost an hour playing with every Carplay-compatible double-DIN receiver, and this Sony stood out for two reasons: 1) its very muted, subdued design, which blends almost seamlessly into any vehicle, and 2) the responsiveness of its screen. It's almost as quick as a modern phone, and the screen requires only the lightest touch to react, unlike most of the others I've tried. It is fantastic to use while stopped or in motion. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my wife's car, and have recommended it to 5 other personal friends, all of whom have purchased it for their cars and trucks. It's that good.

I've had this radio for almost three months now. It's a good radio, backup camera, etc... but here are the cons: 1. Occasionally will not turn on when you turn on the car. Sometimes even if you attempt to turn off/turn on the car a few times. I've seen a couple of other reviewers mention this. I've taken it back to Geek Squad and they couldn't find anything wrong. Of course, it won't happen when you try to show them. 2. Sometimes the backup camera won't show on the screen when you put in reverse. If you shift out of reverse and back into reverse, it will usually fix itself. Still annoying. Also doesn't always happen. 3. This just happened... the radio issued an alert that my right read tire was 8 PSI. Pulled over and checked and tire was fine. Turned engine on and PSI back to normal 34, but still showing red. I need to read the manual to figure out how to get rid of that alert. Also not 100% sure it's the radio's fault; it could be the TPM. This just happened once about a half hour ago.

I would never buy again. Screen flares way too much. It’s almost impossible to see the screen in daylight unless your vehicle is tinted. Volume button is not very useful, it would be much better with a round button. It’s expensive and the touch screen isn’t that responsive.
