Bought this for my daughter's jeep. Fits nicely and looks great. Does everything we needed. Bluetooth for phone calls. Also apple carplay. Works very well. Extremely helpful with maps and navigation. Easy to use and simple menus and interface.

Awsome radio makes life easier with apple, android CarPlay. You do not need to touch your phone for any reason do it all voice command. I was always driving on my phone texting and talking on phone not anymore. Radio is great.

The XAV-AX3000 is a great basic receiver. I had this installed in a 2004 Chevy Silverado by the Geek Squad and they did a great job. I have only two complaints. First, it's not possible at this time to register the item with Sony. The receiver has been discontinued by Sony, and Best Buy did not mention this at the time I made my purchase. The product release date was 2018, and it has been pulled entirely from Sony's web site. When you try to register it, the web site returns an error message saying that the product is invalid. I had to speak a second level person in Sony's customer support group to register the product. The second complaint is with Best Buy. They placed a sticker that included my name over the serial number on the box. When I attempted to remove the sticker, it ripped the underlying Sony serial number sticker from the box. Fortunately, I could read the number backward and Sony accepted it. If you purchase any product from Best Buy that will be installed in a place where you do not have access to the serial number, be sure to have Best Buy staff provide you with the serial number before you leave the store.

Big screen, easy to use and apple carplay is amazing!!

The radio system seems to prove well for the price. I may have seen it bug out twice since I have owned the radio. The android auto/ apple car-play is a good feature to have which I use for GPS and music sometimes.

This stereo was easy to install and works great. The only issue we have is that the back up camera that we installed has to be manually selected when backing up, but I think that is due to an installation error on our part. Other than that, it does what we wanted it to do, work with Apple CarPlay.

I love the Android auto on this head unit, makes the experience of google music and maps together seamless and easy to use. I enjoy the capacitive touch screen and the unit is snappy and responsive. Would recommend, double din is always the best, and this is one of the best head-units I have owned.

The buttons feel solid, the screen is awesome, It's simple to use. This is the best bang for the buck compared to the 5k and the 8k version of this. It has Android Auto, Apple Carplay and bluetooth, what more could you ask for? Got this when it was on sale as well so it was so worth the price.

This radio is excellent, love the Apple CarPlay. This is my second Sony, love the size of the screen and the ease of use. It comes with a remote control but I use the steering wheel controls for most everything. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an upgrade in their factory radio.

Great for the price. Easy to use and the CarPlay feature is seamless. Request the adapter if you ha e steering wheel controls.

This is a great radio. Planned on buying a radio and speakers and was going to buy the speakers at a later date. Didn’t end up needing them. This radio had a much better sound output than my factory radio. Apple and Android CarPlay work great as well.

Big screen in a small unit, easy to operate. Some software issue that cause CarPlay freeze from tint to time.

I upgraded the stock receiver in my vehicle (2011 WRX with Navigation Option). The ease of use and Apple CarPlay integration is a major upgrade and it feels like I have a new car. I haven't experienced any issues yet and I am very happy with this product.

I really like this stereo. Android Auto takes a bit to get working but that's mainly due to quality of USB-C cables. I believe you need a thick and rugged USB 3.1 USB-C to USB-A cable to make it stable. It almost seems like you'd need a thunderbolt type quality cable as most USB-C cables would just constantly drop the phone over and over again. So trial and error found one cable that I got with a device worked right away. :) But anyway... the install went great... they left it configured in a very weird way (speakers all up front, audio settings all odd), but I eventually figured it out. Phone mic on the device was able to hear me most of the time.... I do wish it would stop the "nanny messages of 'don't use certain things while driving, etc." but to its credit, it doesn't stop you from using the phone while you drive like some factory solutions do. Bluetooth is SBC connection only (probably supports AAC, but it doesn't seem like it). Audio via Android Auto is limited to 48kHz. If you use PowerAmp, you can configure it to 48kHz/24-bit audio.. and it sounds great at that level... sadly it can't do 96kHz or 192kHz). Sound is great out of this device and I'm enjoying the interface. I do wish it had an Aux in jack so I could use the Quad DAC on my LG V60, but the added features of Android Auto make up for that. It's not a fast interface.... but it's still good enough to use in a car. I haven't tested the Sirius XM since I don't have a radio... or the USB as a hard drive but even that is limited to 48kHz audio. For me, I do like using Google assistant to tell it to play tracks using PowerAmp and having it do it. Very nice when I drive. Still, it's better than my old factory radio... the limitation of no Aux input and ceiling of 48kHz/24-bit drops it one star... but ultimately, I do really like this radio :)

Its easy to operate. Its simple, without the bells and whistles. I know that Android auto is the same Android auto on whatever headunit you happen to be using at the moment but this Sony seems much more basic. Not complaining necessarily, just would've preferred more bang for my buck. As in: if I leave my phone at home how about still offering a nav system sony??? Well just don't forget your phone... and your charging/data cord, won't work without that too. Bluetooth music... not nav....

Good sound. Easy to use features. Great radio reception. Backlighting could be a little brighter.

By far the easiest aftermarket install I've ever encountered. The unit is easy to setup and operate. Compared to OEM receiver it had more power and much better sound, even when installed with factory speakers.

Although others recommended Pioneer or Alpine products, I found this Sony model very easy to use and good quality at a decent price...

I’m very happy with this unit! I replaced my stock head unit in my FJ cruiser after 12 years, and I couldn’t be happier. The sound quality is better, and the Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay work great! I should have done this years ago!
