I absolutely fell in love with the stereo and especially the Apple car play feature, but now I am getting my factory radio reinstalled and getting my money back. The radio was connected and the automatic dimmer for the screen didn’t even work. Then, when I go to use the Apple car play I might have to unplug and re- plugin 2 or 3 times before it registers. Back up camera quality isn’t the best, especially on a rainy day. I’m not usually one to “complain” if you may, but Sony needs to do some improving on their stereos.

Has a decent processor & is fast enough to not be frustratingly laggy. Carplay is smooth, it plays WAV files without any issues & has a very intuitive layout.

Extremely happy with this purchase! Perfect pixels on screen and crisp sound. Also the Best Buy staff that installed the radio were incredibly helpful and professional. Best of all it was done quickly and correctly. Great product and service!

Installed this radio in my 2012 forester a few weeks ago. So far so good and no issues. Apple car play works great. Would like more wallpaper options though (only a handful currently). Installed with a universal double Din bracket thing and nearly looks OEM. Would recommend.

On the good side, it sounds great and is intuitive to operate. On the negative, the screen is just barely bright enough during daytime. Viewing at an angle makes it even worse. Also, it only accepts one Bluetooth device saved, so if you want to switch who’s phone is connected, you have to go through the pairing process all over.

This radio is amazing! Best Buy installers did fantastic job! Couldn’t ask for more. And the stereo is far and away better than the factory OEM! I love Apple CarPlay. Now when I go on trips I have GPS and online music streaming.

Once I had the geek squad fix the install it has been working well. I think it still isn’t 100% connected right because it will turn off randomly. But when it’s working it is awesome. Also purchased a rear view camera and the display is great. CarPlay is the best feature for me.

Linked up well with my phone for hands free and internet streaming services, which was what I was looking for. The vehicle is 11 years old, so desperately needed an update!

The head unit is nice and when Apple CarPlay works, it’s fantastic. I have had the head unit installed for just about a month and Apple CarPlay only works sometimes.

Awsome radio makes life easier with apple,android CarPlay. You do not need to touch your phone for any reason do it all voice command. I was always driving on my phone texting and talking on phone not anymore. Radio is great.

This a great head unit. My only gripes are with the fact that I have had non-android auto/car play head units that cost much less with more control when it comes to my speakers. The level detail in this unit seems skin deep with only having a customizable graphic eq. There are no options to control the level of each speaker individually, listening position, and the lack of a CD player seems odd at this price point. It does everything it is supposed to very well, just feels empty after using other units.

Works perfectly much better sound quality over stock head unit. Easy to instal. Simple navigation. Only 2 complaints is that Bluetooth doesn't remember my phone half the time and the buttons are not in the best place but that's also associated with my dash kit.

This is an amazing sounding unit. The CarPlay had some hiccups, but that wasn't Sony's fault. Hopefully Apple will fix the issues in future updates. The Android portion I couldn't tell you about. Sony never disappoints with their products. At least they have yet to disappoint me.

This is a great unit if you want to add CarPlay to your car. I can’t speak to if it improves your stock speaker sound as I also upgraded my speakers and the car sounds great now. Intricate ration with back up camera is fantastic. My only gripe is that it takes about 7 seconds to fully boot up.

I was very please with the install of my new car stereo/receiver. Josh did an outstanding job with my vehicle. Given that it was and older model, it took more finesse to make it look right. And it does. Hats off to him!

I bought this for my 2013 Yukon xl to replace my stock radio. This is the best bang for the buck and easily connects to your phone. Nice display and free install at the time I bought this. Would buy for my next car as well. Easy to use and not a lot of buttons.

Easy install in a 7th Gen (2005) Honda Civic. I was surprised at how well it sounds with the stock OEM speakers. Much better than the OEM receiver. Works well with my Samsung Android phone and Autovox backup camera.

Overall pretty happy with purchase. You will most likely need other screws besides what is included with the unit to install with a Metra dash kit. The screws supplied with the unit will not be long enough. Although there is the ability to set the level of each input to some degree I found big differences between phone, radio, and bluetooth audio output levels. My wife about went through the roof when the phone rang in the car it was so loud. It appears the PAC RadioPro5 interface (RP5-GM11) I got was bad but that's not the head unit problem.

Awesome Job By the Geek Squad Tech over in Mira Mesa San Diego. Staff are friendly and seems knowledgeable. They will go extra step to explain everything they've done to your car. About the radio, it is good and user friendly.

I don't have a single complaint. The free installation was great, cleanly done, and it looks very professional. Brandon did a great job, was affable, professional, and quoted me an hour for the install and did so in almost exactly that time. Couldn't be happier.
