I love this head unit. It is extremely responsive, sounds amazing, and the wireless CarPlay connects extremely fast. There is only a slight delay in the music compared to the phone.

I recently purchased the Sony 7” Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Digital Media Receiver (Maestro Compatible - Black), and I couldn’t be happier with the product and service I received. The receiver itself is sleek, user-friendly, and makes driving so much more enjoyable with seamless wireless connectivity. What really stood out was the amazing service from Justin. He went above and beyond to ensure the entire exchange process was smooth and stress-free. Justin’s professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail made the experience outstanding. On top of that, he worked quickly to get me scheduled for another installation within a very short timeframe, which I truly appreciated. Thanks to both the quality of the Sony receiver and Justin’s top-notch support, this has been one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had. I highly recommend both the product and working with Justin for anyone considering a similar upgrade!

Honestly would rate closer to 3.75. That being said, it works as expected mostly. Connects to the backup camera, image is good, (even with the crap camera I needed up with (not included I just popped and got cheap camera) the only issue there is the camera doesn’t turn on automatically, you have to back outta CarPlay and select the rear camera. Wireless CarPlay is a great, (was the selling feature for me) my main issues are: the time!!! I have to set it ever few weeks after say 2 weeks it shows 5 minutes slower than the time actually is.all updates have to be all done physically, so after install if you didn’t add a usb plug Extension you have to take it apart to get to where you can plug a usb to update. Very frustrating. Cool thing though is you can add manages (with the usb plug in) to create a custom Home Screen display. Lastly I have only had this for 6 months, but I have had it freeze up and be unuseable a couple times (mostly when hot?) but I can’t turn volume up/down play anything through CarPlay, get any response from the buttons. I have to either wait till it’s done “thinking” or shut the vehicle off and make sure the power is off to the car wait a couple minute and start over. If you looking for a budget radio with a backup output, wireless CarPlay (android play) that works with your factory car controls this isn’t a horrible option. But honestly if you can afford a little more it’s worth spending more for something better.

Very very good head unit (stereo), really made my speakers pop with more power to them. Interface is very easy to use and can’t go wrong with the wireless Apple car play!

Great stereo and awesome features. 2017 Crosstrek. The Meastro is the main reason I purchased this. The see all the gauges and warnings for the engine. Only issue I’ve had is when it was installed the climate control does not appear. It’s at BB right now trying to get that resolved

Excellent product for the price. The glare on the screen is my only recommendation for improvement. I read previous reviews about the glare, but I did not think the glare would be so bad. Sony states that the unit has an anti-glare screen. If this is the case, the product doesn't work. I would still purchase the radio, because it out preforms the original VW radio. Apple car play is a huge benefit.

This replaced an OEM radio in a '2013 Jeep Wrangler. Best Buy installation was easy. The receiver is easy to use and AirPlay is great. Display is subdued, but is readable under direct sunlight

It's a little pricey but it's been rock solid, sounds good, CarPlay works great and has connected every time with no disconnects yet...

Works flawlessly 95% of times. Occasional issues with wireless carplay connectivity but can always fixed by a reboot. Audio output is awesome. The brightness can be an issue if it's sunny and bright but that's what you get for a matte screen - you lose brightness for avoiding finger print smudges.

Very good radio. Love how it connects wirelessly to Apple CarPlay. Never have to take the iPhone out of my pocket. Siri works great with Apple Music and Apple Maps. . Only issue is if the sun hits the screen, becomes difficult to see. All considered, I am happy with my purchase.

Our 2008 Toyota 4Runner was due for a technology upgrade. This Sony radio has fit the bill for us, Wireless Carplay has been a game changer! No more needing to use a cable to plug into our iPhones, to get Waze on the display screen. Now, all we need to do is start up the car and the iPhone automatically sync to the radio. The radio has been super easy to use, we are happy with our tech upgrade!

The sony unit was a great buy sleek powerful and user friendly with graet options to use especially with the EQ band adjustments you can customize your sound exactly how tou want it

Its great radio , I had pioneer it was ok for first 2 years then it randomly shut off , my carplay would disconnect , steering volume didn't always work . With this sony no such issue and also sound is better quality . No more cable needed for carplay . I highly recommend it .

Love the apple car play. Can't live without it now. Lots of good features on this receiver. I am really happy I went with the wireless version. It has made my life very easy. I am glad I purchased the adapter to run SXM through the Media Receiver rather than apple car play. A couple times I had phone issues, but I could still use the radio. Very happy with my purchase

Really didn’t have a problem with the radio. Just wasn’t the best for my set up. It only has one dedicated preout for aftermarket amps also it only boast a 2 volt preout. Not a lot of functions either compared to other units which give 3-5 times more control over audio. Loved the full display

it has every feature you want and features you didnt know you needed. It seemlessly transformed my 2003 truck into a modern masterpiece. The apple car play and android car play work great. the sound plugged right into my bose system and is clear and just as powerfull. Highly recommended!

Very happy with the head unit. I occasionally have problems connecting, but i think that is due to the number of bluetooth devices that I have connected to my phone, not the head unit itself. The sound quality is incredible, it really brought the stock Toyota speakers to life in my 2010 Toyota Venza. The touch screen is very responsive, and the backup camera that I had installed looks great on its screen. Would definitely recommend.
