Purchased this head unit and had installed on a Saturday morning. Played fine for the 45 minute drive home. After arriving at the house and setting eq, pairing with phone, all seemed well. First problem with this unit is microphone does not perform well at all. people on receiving end of calls could barely hear me. Was better off just using my in ear bluetooth headset for calls. Unit played for about an hour and lost all sound and screen froze up. Even after turning off and back on, still frozen screen and not sound at all. I immediately went back to Best Buy to try to catch installer before the end of shift. Went over a speed bump in parking lot and screen flashed a couple times and started working again, but still no sound, eq went back to flat and lost all presets. I shut truck off to try to talk to installer, but they were already gone for the day. Truck was shut off for about 15 minutes, When I restarted truck unit had full functionality, although I had to reset all user customizations. I had to run the unit till the next Saturday before I could return it because I was gone for the next week (I drive a truck for a living). I returned it for credit due to unsatisfactory performance. Things I noticed for the couple days I had it and it was working that were unsatisfactory. were as follows: bluetooth microphone is practically useless in a crew cab pickup, maybe better in a smaller cab vehicle. There are a couple sensitivity settings for the microphone, but didn't help in my case. The android auto, (can't address Apple Car Play, as I do android), seemed to work as advertised, however the unit auto connected when powered up and no provision to disable the auto connect. Even when going to phone's settings and turning off wifi , the unit automatically turned it back on and auto connected again. The couple days I did use the unit, sound quality for the radio, and SiriusXm, were a great improvement over the stock head unit, but to me, the immediated defect and unsatisfactory microphone, lack of auto connect and activation of Android Auto made this unit unnacceptable to me for the price paid.

Great working head unit. Has a great sound. Many features. Does not have a loudness button, but has a nice Equalizer.

My nissan kicks did not come with siriusxm satellite station, I purchased a item that I had to connect to my cigarette lighter, that at times lost connection. Im very happy with my purchase, all I do now is just start my car.

Fits perfectly in my 2010 Camaro with minimal requirements and Apple play works perfect

This is a good unit, I have them in two vehicles. I like that I can use the steering wheel controls. My only concern is ease of installation. I find if a bit difficult to mount unit due to the single din size of the body of the unit. Other than that this is a great stereo.

Wireless Android auto is the best. A couple moments after the radio comes online, the maps automatically load. The interface with satellite radio / Sirius XM is great. After the much needed firmware update you are able to fast-forward rewind and pause live satellite, just like you would any other DVR. The sound isn't as good as the previous model XAVAX3250, but should do well enough for most people. The box advertises screen mirroring capabilities but I never found it. I would buy this unit again just for the wireless Android Auto capabilities. Also works with Apple Play.

But it. It's the best head unit I've ever had. Puts the sweet music to my Focal components in my truck and now I'm gonna buy one for the car. Easy to use and has a million sound options. Buy it

I was initially hesitant as it has a resistive screen and not capacitive, however, I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the screen. However, a couple of things that are of bother at this time, but should only take some getting used to/are limits of Android Auto, is you can't customize the screen for a default layout in Android Auto and if you so much as step out of the vehicle a few steps with your phone it breaks the connection. I wisht the middle button was more customizable past "Source" or "Mute".

I replaced factory enterntainment with this digital media receiver. All drivers in my family absolutely loved it. Seam less connection on wireless, all functions work as expected. Awesome job by SONY

Got this on installer's recommendation. He said Sony was on top of current technology and connectivity and he was right. The ease of connecting with CarPlay and use of voice commands is excellent. It connects instantly with whomever uses the car (and of course has previously connected.

Switched out my factory unit with this one and added a backup camera . The screen is an ideal size, the CarPlay works flawlessly, and I am happy with my purchase . The radio, Sirius , and Bluetooth all work well. I also enjoy the actual buttons to control volume, and mute .

The best feature of this device is the matte-finish screen. Glossy screens tend to reflect a lot of sunlight, making them unreadable, whereas the matte finish minimizes that issue quite a bit.

I love my new radio in my car it does and sounds really good with that subwoofer and and amp that I have in my car

I cannot believe how good and responsive this thing is. Be sure to shell out the extra money and buy the sony over any pioneer or outdated kenwood system. Wireless carplay works wonders! No more connecting the ohone everytime to charge it/ carplay

Great product! Works perfectly with wireless Apple CarPlay, but kinda struggles with wireless Android Auto on my S22 Ultra, so I just use wired Android Auto.

Awesome system for the price and very clear and installation was great.

I bought a BOSS audio one previously and had Best Buy install it. Maybe due to android auto but the thing would disconnect frequently and it was difficult to use since I'd have to unplug and replug. I bought GeekSquad protection on that though and managed to replace that for this one and cover the difference. This wireless android auto is a game changer and I love it so much. Even modern cars don't have this and it's honestly not that big of a cost to upgrade considering what it provides. It connects automatically on startup and just works without disconnecting. I notice some hiccups occasionally but it's likely due to the Bluetooth connection which you could probably avoid with a direct cable connection instead. Highly recommend this product over others if wireless is needed.
