Rattling stereo

No, I would not recommend this to a friend Laggy, buggy, and the screen sucks.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The resistive screen sucks, for what are apparently typical reasons - it's often unresponsive, so you have to click it multiple times in different ways. It wouldn't be as big of an issue if it weren't laggy - sometimes the screen DOES work, but the software is slow, so I end up pressing it more than it needs. For example, I want to skip a song, but end up skipping three songs by accident (FYI I did my research and got no indication that resistive screens were so bad). On another occasion, a previous song on the music widget (for the SiriusXM app) froze, but the title of each new song appeared on top of the old one. So, imagine The Beatles, with letters for Radiohead laid on top. It's illegible. For a brand new device this is inexcusable.

To address the performance lag and the graphical errors you are seeing, we recommend following these technical steps to ensure your system is optimized:
Verify Firmware Version: Please confirm that your XAV-AX4000 is running the latest firmware version (3.02.00). This update is designed to improve system stability and touch response. Posted .Hi ShawnH, We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your XAVAX4000. For this, please try adjusting the value of the Dimmer Setting of the unit and check if the issue still occurs. This setting adjusts the brightness level of the display and buttons by changing the value.
When [Activate the set value with the vehicle's light] is on, the display and buttons turn on at this brightness level when the head lights are turned on.
