It is a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for and I'll spend every penny again if i need to ever get a new one.

I do have long nails but it should still respond better . It is irritating to click it so many times or the screen will flip to another option . If I am driving sometimes I cant even use screen til I pull over. Thats my only real complaint other than that its okay !

Phone call quality over bluetooth is really not good 2. Phone call quality over bluetooth on MS Teams calls are complete garbage 3. Can't set favorite radio stations (at least as far as I can tell). Have to toggle through every available station

Very frustrating but hoping BestBuy customer service will work with me to figure it out.

Store level customer service was ok....rethink using foreign call centers where people are rude...and try to rip off your customers.

Screen way too dark.

It's almost impossible to see if there's any sun outside. There are no brightness options either, so you can't make adjustments. I would definitely not recommend this and intend to have it removed from my vehicle.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: If you need a head unit, you can buy this one, if you want it done right, look elsewhere This is an amazing head unit and I 100% recommend it. What I can not recommend is Best Buy’s shoddy recommend installation parts. All the parts I received seemed to be good quality, however for my car, and I would assume many other cars, the OEM radio has multiple wiring harnesses connected to it, but Best Buy told me I would only need one, plus an adapter for the antenna. What this means is that in order to install the head unit, you would need to cut the factory wiring harness and splice the aftermarket head unit’s wiring into it. In the end I just bought a iDataLink maestro from Crutchfield and they told me what harness I would need to buy for a plug and play install. Ultimately, I installed this head unit and am happy with it, but would recommend that anyone looking for an easy install done right just go to Crutchfield or a professional radio installer instead of going through the hassle of needing to order new parts and return whatever Best Buy sends you.

To address this issue, please first disconnect any connected phone—whether wired or wireless—to determine if the phone is contributing to the problem. Ensure that the phone’s operating system and all installed applications are updated to the latest available versions, and confirm that the device has a strong cellular signal. If connected wirelessly, we recommend switching to a wired connection for improved stability.
Please also verify that your XAVAX4000 unit is running the latest firmware version (3.02.00). Firmware updates and installation instructions can be found here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/mobile-cd-players-digital-media-players-xav-series/xav-ax4000/software/00280826.
Following the update, perform a Factory Reset through the Settings > System menu; detailed guidance is available here: https://helpguide.sony.net/ev/xav-ax40/v1/en/contents/TP1000661295.html.

Replacing the original 2005 Ford unit in my F150 Lariat makes a huge difference. The Bluetooth makes my older Ford seem like new!
