    Great looking Radio, Poor Performance

    Purchased, BestBuy Car install tech installed. Don’t work right. When starting the car in Wireless CarPlay mode, home button wouldn’t work. I needed to press the Siri button and turn it off and then home button would work. It also would not dial through Siri in CarPlay. Swapped out exact radio with same results. FINALLY upgraded to KENWOOD with no issues.

    I would not buy this radio again. It looses connection and freezes all the time. This is the second one and its doing the same thing. Its a terrible product. Dont waste your money.

    I'm a huge Sony fan but should have kept my Pioneer! When using blue tooth from phone the audio volume is lowered by approx. 30%. It does not play as loud as my previous Pioneer head unit. When it connects it is a louder volume but then by itself, it lowers the volume. You have to turn the volume way up for calls and then when you get a notification it plays at that same loader volume. My pioneer had call AND notification volumes. BT connection is hit or miss. You have to go deep into setting to change clock, I only had to touch the clock on my Pioneer to bring up chose settings. I updated firmware but problems still exist. When explaining these issues to BB installers they just blew me off. It's sad the Kankakee store lost its long-time installer.

    I got this radio so i can use the features off of my car . Sadly using the bluetooth or wireless the carplay never stays connected , the other day the bsckup camera got stuck and wouldnt go off

    Wireless Android Audio does not work for crap! Sony doesn't care much and doesn't offer any real fixes.

    Wish I had not bought a Sony

    Had this unit for 6 months before the volume button feel off. Then a month or so later the previous/next button feel off while I was driving. Mind you-- I never use either of these buttons because this player is wireless and I have adjustments on my steering wheel. Very cheap. Contacted Sony and they would not cover it. They told me to contact the nearest service center, then let me know that they only have ONE service center in the entire US. (in New York -- I live in Oklahoma) They don't stand behind their product. I won't be purchasing a Sony car stereo again.

    Terrible Installation. I spent over $525 to order plugs to make this $400 radio work in my expedition. Then had to pay for the ability to program the module to work with the car and the radio !!!!

    [Employee of bestbuy] Radio looked good, but had a lot of issues with the nav system. lagged a lot when i did a u turn and or regular turn. Ended up lagging my music out.

    This unit has an Auxiliary usb for phone ,but doesn't work. Very disappointing. Access to radio and navigation difficult to operate. Given the other units available, this one is substandard. Overpriced definitely.

    right when i had it installed i started having issues with it. Geek squad been awesome trying to fix it, but I know for sure is the media receiver, doesn't work correctly,always having issues with he sound going in and out, connecting to Carplay and the back up camera quality is not good at all and as of right now im still having issues with it. NOT GOOD QUALITY FOR THAT PRICEEE!!

    The Bluetooth and ICarPlay(which sounds like an IOS function) constantly disconnects. No latter how many times I reconnect and reconfigure. And going direct with a usb doesn’t work because I don’t have an android. Biggest pile of junk I’ve bought. I completely regret it. When it feels like it, it connects to my reverse camera, most of the time I just get a blank screen.

    Easy Install, Worth Every Penny!

    Worked amazing after I installed it, wiring was straight forward and very easy to understand what was doing what, brackets worked well to mount it, and the unit itself has so many features and capabilities! I wired it myself and did the entire install, never got confused once! The sound quality will depend on your speakers but it is a noticeable upgrade for me by far. The head unit does come with a gps tracker cube that lets you wirelessly connect to Apple Carplay (which is very quick to connect after starting the car) as well as a mic so you can make hands free calls and texts/use Siri features. It does have reverse camera and steering wheel mounted control capabilities but I did not use those as my car isn’t equipped with it and there was no need to add it for my use. Overall VERY happy I decided on this unit, quality is well trusted!
