Glossy screens tend to reflect a lot of sunlight, making them unreadable, whereas the matte finish minimizes that issue quite a bit.

Be sure to shell out the extra money and buy the sony over any pioneer or outdated kenwood system. Wireless carplay works wonders! No more connecting the ohone everytime to charge it/ carplay

Just wasn’t the best for my set up. It only has one dedicated preout for aftermarket amps also it only boast a 2 volt preout. Not a lot of functions either compared to other units which give 3-5 times more control over audio. Loved the full display

Maybe due to android auto but the thing would disconnect frequently and it was difficult to use since I'd have to unplug and replug. I bought GeekSquad protection on that though and managed to replace that for this one and cover the difference. This wireless android auto is a game changer and I love it so much. Even modern cars don't have this and it's honestly not that big of a cost to upgrade considering what it provides. It connects automatically on startup and just works without disconnecting. I notice some hiccups occasionally but it's likely due to the Bluetooth connection which you could probably avoid with a direct cable connection instead. Highly recommend this product over others if wireless is needed.

The screen is an ideal size, the CarPlay works flawlessly, and I am happy with my purchase . The radio, Sirius , and Bluetooth all work well. I also enjoy the actual buttons to control volume, and mute .

A flawed but decently executed product

This stereo is good, don't get me wrong, but if it is going to force android auto wireless upon me, it definitely worsens my overall experience. Despite this one major flaw, it's pretty decent. Touch screen is a bit iffy but that's mostly to do with the fact that it's a resistive rather than capacitive. Overall, a good head unit if you're an apple user and an okay one if you're an Android user. It does lack features overall, but if you're looking for a no-frills head unit for your car, this is probably the way to go.
