Very nice unit for the money. Easy installation. Easy-to-use

The current one in my car needs replacement due to a defect but I’m going to review it based on when it works properly. The screen isn’t bright enough. It doesn’t have a sound retriever function like Pioneer so when you’re playing compressed files it doesn’t have that bass punch. The Bluetooth doesn’t connect reliably. I just like Pioneers better but it isn’t terrible.

I have no idea how to open a bug for Sony but I will change to 5 stars this once they patch this issue: CarPlay is stuck in dark mode. Usually there is an option to set CarPlay as light or dark mode always otherwise auto switches when you turn your head lights on. I see the actual Apple Maps ui change from light to dark when I switch on headlights so I know it’s not an installation issue the black bar on the side of CarPlay is always black but on my wife’s vehicles Sony head unit it is opaque. The glare on this screen is pretty bad so when it’s in dark mode in the day I just give up. Otherwise it’s a great hu

Love it! Excellent sound quality. Just what I was looking for in the CarPlay.

I like the system, wish it had a brighter screen and possibly a tilt function of some sort, you cant see it when its sunshining. It does xome with a gps antenna, others in that price range did not.

The people working at the Lindbergh location in Saint louis work harder to get out of doing the job the actually working. I made an appointment online when purchased the head unit and backup camera. for the head unit. Apparently the system didn’t block off enough time for the installer to get both things done. So I made another appointment to weeks later to bring the truck back for the camera install. The appointment was the first of the day as they don’t open until 10:00am. I was a little late arriving to the 2nd appointment, I arrived at 10:25am planning to leave my truck for the day. The installer informed me that I was late and because of that I couldn’t get it done that day. I also offered to leave the truck for as long as possible because I already arranged a ride to drop it off but that was still a hard no. I ended up making another appointment at a different Best Buy for the following Monday to try to get this done.

Okay I love this stereo. It looks neat, clean, and turns on super fast when you start the car. However, there are a few minor draw backs. When programming the steering wheel controls on the stereo, it won’t let me update the answer/decline buttons. The standard setting seemed to let everything else work as it should. So I have to use my decline button to mute the stereo and answer is used for toggling which media to use (i.e. radio, Apple CarPlay, etc.) The other down side is, once a week, the stereo won’t let me connect to my phone. I have to turn it off then on again. Other than that, it is a great machine and I’m glad I upgraded! (I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra SV if that helps anyone).

Great product! Good install. I just need to find time to go in and find out why my backup alarm does not work.

It fits great in my vette with the bose system would highly recommend

This radio works better than the factory one on another newer vehicle we have. Installation was great and the installer went over operation and got my IPhone working wireless with it

Carplay works great, sound quality is good but comparing to XAV - AX 7000 with built in amp, is just OK. dsiplay also could use a little better image quality.

Wireless works great. Loads in 20-30sec MAX. Easy to switch from my phone to wife's. Sound is good although my pioneers and Kenwood from the past had more oomph..

Great radio works great for cars and it works great with our phones would recommend

This Sony wireless radio was a good purchase. I'm a happy customer.

Installed bt best buy and looks fantastic, like it came stock with truck. Would have given 5 stars vut had to put a radio visor on to see i bright light.

Easy install everything works great as said. But I still give feeling of it being cheaply made first day but it pops off the unit and I can't find it. The sounds is off a little you really have to crank up the volume to get it at normal if it may sense to you. The microphone worse great they actually removes noise on the background Love it easy adoption to the phone no problems there at all
