Great receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally a receiver that is easy to set up and gives me no problems in operating. Connects easily and well with all my devices and does a great job with audio and video. I should've gone Sony all along.

Very nice affordable receiver.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This receiver offers quite a bit for this price point. You can use banana clips which is nice and for non surround sound output you can enable a setting to hear the sound from all speakers.

Great Inexpensive Unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some people seem to have a problem with Sony, I've really enjoyed my purchases to this point. This unit is driving a built in surround sound system and my 54inch Sony TV. What I didn't know is that Sony devices can be controlled through one remote. So once the TV learned the Receiver was there, I can control the receiver with the TV remote. Nifty. The receiver was as plug and play as I've had in a receiver. I've owned Kenwood and Yamaha receivers, they didn't auto adjust sound like this one does. The sound is always perfectly balanced for the room. In short, I've really enjoyed the receiver so far. Longevity will be the real key. If it lasts it deserves all the stars. Only time will tell.

Works well with other Sony Components
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Sony TV, Sony 4K player and now a Sony AV system. The Sony sync works well and allows you to control the different components with one controller. The TV knows what is connected to it. I bought this because I wanted to use the ARC HDMI. It seems to work well and synchronizes the output sound with the TV video. I was impressed with how easy it was to use the self-calibration. You connect the microphone and simply start it. The AV then sets up the correct sound settings for each of your speakers for the room you are in and the placement of the microphone. There are so many settings it each of these components, you should take the time to read about each one.

Better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 10yr old Sony unit with this. Easy installation and setup was a breeze. The sound is so far better than expected especially for the price. I'm buying another one for myself!

Set-up too simple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Instructions are lacking. Need a few pages on how to manually (do speaker adjustments) set up receiver. When you go on line which is a pain, you download a hugh document that is chock full of stuff but its too much information.

Easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup. Great sound. No delay with the tv. Only complaint is having to turn it on with the remote, but that may be our tivo box. Need to investigate further.

Great product for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This receiver works as promised. It even seems to improve picture quality maybe 5% or More. Sound is great and works well with my Polk speakers. A natural sound that Sony is famous for.

A bit disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A passable entry-level (I later found out) unit that's vastly underpowered for my Yamaha NS-A600s. Advertised at 145 w/ch, I missed that the rating is at 6 ohms, not eight and this makes a significant difference. This comes out to almost 109 w/ch (543.75 watts total); a far cry from what I desired with not enough more power than the Technics it replaced to make the difference I'd hoped for. To be fair, this is NOT Best Buy's fault. Looking at other manufacturers at the store it seems that the 6 ohm power rating is now S.O.P. but speakers are still rated at eight. WTF??? That said, I'd still recommend it due to its flexibility and, as I said earlier, as an acceptable entry-level unit.

Great A/V receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powerful, easy to use and simple setup. More than your basic entry level receiver, but it doesn't have a bunch of probably less than useful bells and whistles. Highly recommended...

Best system ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I paid is an outstanding system. Ensure to set up HDMI to be recognized and that will be the only cable that you will need to connect your cable tv, bluray, etc.

Like It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product has a great look and is simple to set up. I use it strictly for the TV speakers to provide surround sound. It works very well and the price definitely fits the budget.

So far so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had extra speakers that I had up graded to my existing speakers I figured that I would put the old speakers, that worked very well, to use. Bought this receiver for my five year old so that she would have her own surround system, in hopes that she would leave mine alone plus it would be something that she could grow up with. So far it's doing very well, it's pretty basic but didn't want to get anything too expensive for someone this young, however she's actually pretty good with my higher end reciever. As far as longevity, time will tell.

Nice surround receiver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great surround receiver for the money. Works as advertised and setup couldn't have been easier. Furthermore, the onscreen(tv) menus make changing settings a breeze.
