WANTED TO UPGRADE LISTENING ROOM 4 WITHOUT A BIG INVESTMENT. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT IS THAT THE AMP PORTION IS RATED AT 90 WATTS RMS STEREO AND 105 WATTS STEREO MODE OUTPUT POWER. IN SURROUND MODE, 145 WATTS PER CHANNEL.. VAGUELY DESCRIBED ON OUTER BOX. I WAS HOPING FOR 145 WATTS STEREO AND IT REPLACED A 100 WATT SONY RECEIVER.

Had always gone with a Sony in the past with no problems, but wanted to try a different brand. The Pioneer starting to have problems right after the warranty period and completely died in 3 years. Several months now, and no problems with the Sony and expect that this one will continue to perform in the years to come like all other Sony components.

Decent Receiver

Bought a sub and hooked both up to this. It gets the job done but isn't knocking down the walls by any means.
