I had to replace my home theater system after one of my son's friends blew the last receiver. It has worked great. I did have to turn the energy saver feature off as it would time out after a few hours, but that was an easy fix.

Wanted a new amp for stereo. Bought this but found out it was for tv so swaped dvices. Ok just for tv. As an amp for audio, no way. No bass or treble control.

It is nice to finally be able to control the sound with a remote unlike our last system. The only issue is that if you have the program paused it shuts off. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Easy set up also.

This was a bargain priced unit. It is just above an entry receiver. That being said, the on screen navigation is basic, the system performs as such. I would buy it again, for a basic room theater or garage.

I needed a new receiver to connect to an older TV and surround system with another remote receiver. There were not too many to choose from and all were expensive, but the gentlemen in the store were very helpful and made sure that it was what I needed.

We bought this to use with an outdoor home theater and it works absolutely fine. It was considerably cheaper than other models and we've been very happy with its performance thus far. I would recommend it.

I am very please with my choice. It provided essentially everything I was looking and provided the best value in the store with regard to amps. If I could add one thing to this amp it would be to be able to control a second set of speakers.

Did not realize that products were still made without blue tooth

Best Stereo for the price with many features of the more expensive units. Does everything I want and I especially like the pass through feature which shuts off the TV audio when powered on. Good for apartments and condominiums

It only does 5.1 and doesn't handle HDR, but for those who are on a budget, this is a decent 4K receiver. I only have a 5.1 speaker setup anyway, and I only patch my audio through the receiver while my video goes straight to the TV, so it works just fine for me. But there are better ones out there.

I purchased this item for our outdoor speakers. Only setback is you have to set your channels up while connected to a tv.

A nice receiver with good sound, it has 4k pass thru so there isn't a lip sink problem. its loud enough for me, i have a medium size living room and it has different sounds like concert effects, etc.

I purchased this as a new replacement for a previous receiver. It was easy to connect and autosetup, however, I have to keep switching inputs on my tv as it will work for a few days then stop sending a signal to the TV until I change the HDMI input.

Months in and the Receiver works very well to my needs. Remote is decent, and the menu functions nicely as well. This model has no Bluetooth support, so if you find yourself wanting this you should pay a bit more for the 7.1 model.

The system itself is great does everything that you need it to, but the remote doesn't allow you to take full advantage of all the system's attributes without you having leaving your seat to walk up to the system and switch between certain options (i.e. Contecing to Bluetooth or USB)

Replaced an old sony receiver so would have hdmi connection. Very nice sound for our cozy little den. The night mode is excellent for late night viewing. Can turn down sound and still hear voices.

after getting frustrated with the onkyo receivers being defective ,i tried the sony and what a delight, good instructions ,packaged well, and even included a mike to do an auto setup for the sound, i am very satisfied

Work great for the price. Ever once in a while it won’t synch withe the master remote but otherwise works.

My old Sony receiver-amplifier was not working well after many years of service. I visited BestBuy.com and found a new Sony receiver, it was available at a Best Buy near me. I brought it home and set it up. Very happy

It is good for the price. This does what we need it to. Our other one went out. We are using this without the subwoofer so it would probably sound better if we had a subwoofer.
