    Excellent Television. Installation scheduling by Geek Squad was horrible. First scheduled date the installer called in sick. Went to the back of the line for reschedule. The second scheduled date two weeks later the installer's child was sick. Went to the back of the second reschedule. Two weeks later TV was installed (Total delay of 6 weeks). Excellent install.

    An amazing TV. One complaint, the remote has a "TV button" that you can only link to a HDMI input. So other words if you only use streaming apps or coax cable for OTA, the "TV button" is useless, you cannot set the short cut anything other than HDMI.

Unfortunately, you cannot program or link the TV button to a specific app. The TV Key function instantly switches to a TV channel or input and display the TV menu when you press the TV button on the supplied remote. For details, refer to Using the TV menu page on this help guide link.

    Do not use the Geek Squad service!!!

    This review is not so much for the TV but more for the Geek Squad. I had scheduled for an install with the Geek Squad where I had to wait a month before they would come to my residence. Less than 24 hrs of the install, I received an email stating that I had to schedule my appointment. After spending 3 hours on the phone being tossed around from rep to rep, it was finally determined that they cancelled my appointment with no explanation. The end result. I ended up cancelling the service because I would have to wait another month before that would come out. I ended up installing my TV myself, which the TV is great!!! The best advice, DO NOT USE THE GEEK SQUAD SERVICES!!

    The a95l has the best picture ive ever seen but for 5k and quality control issues it’s unacceptable… each tv had the same issue which was a scratch to the coating beneath the glass in carious spots on the tv .. best but was nice and understanding but 4 is enough right now i still have it waiting on another tv

    Some initial problems with external connectivity, causing operating system issues, but we contacted Sony and they fixed everything. Really bride really smart TV.

    Does not play well with others — sound issues

    Purchased the A95L from a Best Buy personal consultant after a visit to our home. Also purchased all recommended high end cabling along and a Sony HT-A7000 sound bar system with sub and back speakers. Set up by Level 2 highly experienced Geek Squad installers. Started noticing sporadic pops in the sound almost immediately. No particular content or channel/app caused issues. Completely random and at varying levels of severity from non existent to annoying to unwatchable. Picture would be affected at times as well. Most times shutting everything off/on fixed it but not always. Installer gave me his cell and said to call if there were issues. There were issues, so I called. He was at a loss for the cause. Said to call my consultant. I called my consultant and left a message. He never responded. Very helpful on sales, disappeared when there was an issue. I continued troubleshooting. Ran sound just through tv to isolate tv from the now unplugged sound bar. Pops still happened. Replaced all cabling. Pops still happened. Replaced the barely a year old AppleTV just in case that was the problem. Still issues. At this point, I had replaced everything that could be replaced except the TV itself. Still issues. In one last effort, I just removed the AppleTV altogether. Voila, fixed. TV works great as long as I don’t use AppleTV — the heart of my household entertainment ecosystem. It was time to return the tv, buuut by this time the return period had passed. So Best Buy sent me to try and deal with Sony. So disappointing in every way. As another reviewer mentioned, this TV does not play well with others, specifically AppleTV. Plenty of other choices out there. Avoid this TV until Sony finds and fixes this gremlin.

    Great Picture! Terrible QC!

    The picture quality is great! I can definitely see the improvements from the LG G3 that i had. However, the QC on this TV is horrible especially for a $5k TV. I have these weird 3 columns on my screen that can be seen in all content so i will definitely need to exchange my TV. There is also these chips in the screen that in certain lighting can be seen in content. I have seen these same chips in the store models at Best Buy as well. Unacceptable for such an expensive TV.

    This $5,000 TV did not even turn on when I brought it home. I was extra gentle as I set it up. Anybody would be when you buy a $5,000 tv. It just had a flashing red light at the bottom and I unplugged it and plugged it back in many many times. What a strange thing for Sony to just ship out a TV to Best Buy that doesn't even work. We're going to see if they send someone out here to either fix it for me or take it back so that way I don't have to travel a whole hour to take the TV back to where I bought it. Absolutely ridiculous.

    Pixels out after a few years-Don’t waste your mone

    Purchased 77” Master Series A9G in 2019. We are very careful and do not pause it for long periods of time, it has minimal use. After 4 years, the pixels are starting to go out. Not what you expect from a $5k TV. Sony has said there is nothing they will do. Now we have a TV that with lines in the picture. Very disappointed. Will not purchased another Sony TV due to poor quality and lack of service from Sony. Save your money and buy an LG-they take care of you. Line is center of bottom running vertically.

    Broken Dolby Vision or 120hz VRR. Not both.

    Returned since it would not allow both 120hz VRR and Dolby Vision on same input. Couldn't use receiver as single input without changing in the menu every time you switched inputs. Also Dolby Vision looked a bit green. G4 will be the TV I go with.

      We are really sorry if our A95L didn't live up your expectations and that it had to be returned. This is certainly not the news we'd like to hear from you. While the A95L supports 4K120Hz and Dolby Vision, the TV does not support Dolby Vision at 120Hz at this time. We will have your feedback noted as we always strive for the best customer experience. As for the power on behavior, you can actually change the TV startup behavior to Last input if you prefer the TV to power on with the last watched TV channel or external input.     Incomplete and sloppy install

    Install was incomplete. Soundbar wasn't installed, TV camera was not installed, and sub-woofer wasn't positioned correctly. Techs rushed and did an incomplete job. I didn't realize how much was left to be done until after they left. TV is great, it was just bad work by Geek Squad

    Geek Squad came to instal the TV and the panel was dead. The only two choices was wait for another sold out TV or wait for a technician to come repair a brand new TV. I decided to go back to LG

    Everything I asked for and more

    Own a previous gen (a85h which still looks beautiful after 5 years btw) and I needed for an upgrade for a large theater room. Stellar in every way, picture quality, ease of use, integration with my other gadgets. It’s sturdier than previous models which made me less nervous when putting it on a wall mount The only con was you can’t replace the power supply, it’s attached and doesn’t come out making cable management a little more difficult but not impossible. Pretty minor con. Tv is fantastic if you have any reservations about it being worth it, I assure you you’ll not be disappointed
