This mirrorless camera offers outstanding image quality, fast autofocus, and a wealth of features suitable for both photography and videography.The only downside is the battery life, which could be longer.

Great features but 1 problem

I decided to use this camera on my trip and leave my a7S III at home. The dual SD card is nice feature to have. My favorite feature is being able to access the camera through the app even with the camera being off. Fits in my hands pretty well and the full touch screen is a decent upgrade to previous Sony cameras (I was previously using an a6100). The main issue I have with this camera is overheating. After 5-10 minutes (could be less) of recording, I get an internal temperature too high and it shuts down. I proceeded to upgraded the firmware and same problem occurs. I try to take smaller interval videos, but that only helps a little. Missing on few moments is kind of disappointing especially when you’re in a once in a lifetime experience. This is making me wish I brought my a7S III instead. I would still recommend this camera depending on how much you need to rely on recording videos.

It has literally been the best and most expensive purchase I’ve ever made. It is worth every penny! I love this camera. It is easy to use and to figure out. 10/10 highly recommend it!

Any of the "downsides" you hear or read on the internet are minor in comparison to the quality this camera can produce. After having my a7iii for a few years I was worried that I would be disappointed. After receiving my a7iv I have not missed the a7iii one bit! In my opinion useless you need a full "professional" setup the a7iv is more than capable!

NOW i'm the Owner/CEO of FlyFrames LLC. Compaired with my Sony 24-70 G-Master its the Perfect Combo. I'm not a Big Video Shooter BUT the Quality of the Footage is TOP TIER and I look 4ward to doing More Video Gigs.
