I bought the PS4 for my son's birthday, but it only comes with the one controller. So I got this one so he and I could play together. It connected to the PS4 right away and even had a charge to start off with. Highly recommend.

First off the ps4 should just come with 2 controllers anyway but since things have change I had no choice but to buy another one so that I can actually play with my own family!!!

Overall, the DS4 is just a solid controller. Feels right in the hands, solid construction, and responsive controls. The electric purple is a beautiful color and I use this for hours every day.

I bought this, due a nice promo going on at Best Buy. The color was very attractive. I have yet to open it, since I bought it. But I felt as, it had that "collector's feel and/or look". So in the package it stayed.

While I have no complaints thus far about the PS4, the controller could be better. It feels nice and works well for what it's for, playing games on the greatest system ever manufactured. We will start with the not so great: the Options/Share buttons are in awkward spots to be able to press mid-game. I don't use them often, but it would be nice to not have to look down to find the buttons. I really do miss the old standard start/select buttons, but I'm willing to evolve as technology evolves. The ambient lighting on the controller was pretty cool for the first week I owned the system, but now I just find it kind of annoying and bright when trying to play in a dark room. I still have not found any use for the pad on the controller, and think this is probably the biggest mistake made on this new system. I honestly don't even know what it's for (and I would consider myself a rather regular gamer). Lastly, the battery life is horrendous. I really hope newer models of the controllers are updated with better battery life. I really like to go at least 2 days without getting down to one bar. As for the good: The rumble and in-controller speaker functionality are spot on. They don't miss a beat. The speaker is awesome, especially when playing games that happen to flow (it's insane on Flowers). The share functionality is also pretty cool. I'm not a huge nerd when it comes to call of duty (I MUTE EVERYONE), but the ability to share my replays on NBA 2K14 and FIFA is pretty cool. Lastly, button sensitivity is much improved on this controller. The triggers respond much faster and the thumbsticks have no issues. Overall, I love my PS4, and I'll get over the little things I dislike about the controllers.
