If you are looking for a portrait lens, this is the best one you can find in my opinion. The 85mm gives you enough zoom to not be right up in their face but not enough to feel out of place. I was contemplating the Sony F14 but I feel like this one gives you better bang for your buck.

My photos are always so beautiful and creamy when I use this

The lens itself is light, it's fast, quick to focus, and the side button is programmable and makes it easy to focus on your subject. I've paired this lens with the Sony A7c and the pictures look great! Tack sharp! I highly recommend this lens!

Great value portrait lens

These lens is very sharp and provides excellent portraits in door and outside. The focal range is a bit tight so consider the area were you are taking pictures. You will have to stand back from your subject to get full body portraits, great for head shots.

The autofocus is faster than anything ive seen in a long time, and the motor is completely silent. Pictures are crystal clear and everything is well built and feels like solid metal. The lens also has a af/mf toggle, and a button that i have not explored in depth yet, but so far this has not disappointed.

This was purchased to give me more flexibility than the standard kit Lens for portraits. Autofocus is quick and accurate and Auto Eye focus works very well. Plan to use this lens on a Full Frame Sony in the future perhaps a Sony A7 III.

If you use the camera outside of a studio setting, this is all you need. Don't be tempted to go for the 1.4 unless you like carrying heavy things and have lots of money. So pretty much a gigachad.

Fast and excellent performing lens
