Great Lens

Primarily, I bought this lens for my kids’ indoor sporting events and it works great. I have the 70-200 f4 version but the extra stop is much needed to keep the ISO down when a fast shutter speed is needed. It is heavy but standard for this type of lens. I returned my first copy of this lens because the focus ring moved too easily. There was almost no resistance and would move with incidental contact. My current copy is better but the zoom ring resistance is not consistent. Resistance is low on the 200mm end and there is a noticeable increase in resistance mid-way through the zoom ring range as you progress to 70mm. I spoke with Sony about it and they wanted me to send it in but I decided to live with it. So far I am happy with this purchase.

Best Sony E-Mount lens available.

This lens is used with a slightly older A7ii, but works really well. The case is great and helps to keep it protected when traveling. Auto focus is fast and optical stabilisation provides an extra couple of stops in lower light.

Didn’t get to use it but...

Quit heavy and there are lenses yet to be released that are quit comparable at a cheaper price. Its up to u to decide if a native Sony lens is that important.

I was concerned that I would have buyers remorse seeing how's it's a very expensive lens but I have none! I assigned Eye AF to the lens button and as of right now, that's the perfect place for it. Really happy with the images I get using this lens.
