Sony - G Master FE 70-200 mm F2.8 GM OSS Full-Frame Telephoto Zoom Lens for E-Mount Cameras - White

I’ve been using the Sony FE 70–200mm f/2.8 G Master lens with my Sony Alpha 7 IV, and it has completely changed the way I shoot. The image quality is outstanding incredibly sharp even when shooting at f/2.8, and the background blur looks beautiful and natural. What really impressed me is how fast and accurate the autofocus is. Impressive Quality, but a heavy beast. I initially purchased the F4, but returned it a week later for the F2.8, and I am so glad I did. The difference is clear in terms of build and image quality. I can see the tiny hairs on my dog shooting free hand from appx 30 ft away. The large aperture lets me 8ncrease the shutter speed further to freeze her in motion. The focus is quick, consistent, and constant. Love it and I dont regret the 3k with insurance just in case.

Very expensive but it’s a super nice lens! I was totally amazed at how sharp my pictures are. This lens is awesome for sports, I’ve shot basketball games and have had some great shots. It’s very fast and this will help get that action shot. It’s not my go to for landscape shooting but I recommend it for everything else. Great bokeh for portraits. 2.8 all the way through is sweet. If you are considering anything else because of price, hold off a little longer and save up for this bad boy. Wife had a heart attack when she found out what I spent but she understood after she seen the shots of the kids.

I own this and the 24-70 GM. This lens is actually a lot sharper than the 24-70 GM. What's most amazing about this is how it's not too heavy but robust, and has stabilization built in. I've used this lens in extreme environments. Both hot and cold. It also has stayed in my bag in my trunk through scorching hot Connecticut summers. No fog, discoloration, or fungus through all of that. I've used it countless times for fast paced dance showcases with both my A9 and my A7iii. Focusing is quick and accurate. I did have an issue with it focusing with my A7iii at one point but that was corrected with a firmware update to the lens which I received for free on Sony's website. I love the white color with the orange G badge on it. This is one of those lenses that when you take it out of your bag and mount it on your camera, you can feel everyone's perception of you in the room change. There's obviously a professional present. The tripod collar can be rotated and even detached from the body. Filter thread is 77mm so a variable ND is going to be moderately priced. I also photograph boats and other landscape scenery. This performs wonderfully and I can't wait to get the 2x teleconverter for some extended reach. All in all I would definitely buy this lens again.
