F1.4 give best image like no other lens can. Clarity and sharp image. Only cos is light noise when focus.

Absolutely Best Lens for Portraits

It was a big investment but totally worth it every penny. This is by far the best lens I have ever had. Paired with the Sony A7r II camera the quality of the images are spectacular. If you are a professional hobbyist like myself or a true professional you will enjoy every photo you take with this camera.

I live in a small studio apartment where I have a backdrop and lights set up as if it was a photography studio, I was worried at first about purchasing anything over 50mm because my space is so small, but even with this 85mm I manage to get everything I want in my shots. Depth a field>? 1.4 is your new best friend.

Great portrait lens

Gmaster lenses in general would be my first choice to purchase. It is expensive but I think worth every penny. I think at any level of photographer this lens is good both learn on and use daily.

Bokeh for days!

Be aware this is really only meant for a single subject. Trying to get multiple people in the exact same depth of field is very difficult. Highly recommend!

I've used this on a Sony A6000 with great results. Good bokeh. Would like it better if it had image stabilization for use with our Sony FS5 video camera.
