Features

  • Compatible with most Sony Alpha E-mount cameras

For use with your existing camera.

  • Medium telephoto lens gets you closer to your subject

Allows you to capture intricately detailed images without getting too close to your subject. Concentrates the focus on a narrow field of view for vivid close-up shots.

Beautifully isolates your subject from the background. This versatile focal length blends depth and dimension for stunning portraits, action shots and low-light images.

  • f/1.4 maximum aperture

Creates sharp, detailed images with shallow depth of field and softly blurred background. Performs best in moderate-to-bright light settings or outdoors on overcast days.

  • 0.12x magnification

Magnification ensures your images come out just the way you want.

  • ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements

Effectively corrects chromatic aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range.

  • Nano AR Coating

Suppresses spurious reflections that can cause flare and ghosting, particularly in backlit situations.

  • 2.62' minimum focusing distance

  • Accommodates 77mm filters

  • Accessories included

    Perfection, realized.

This thing is crisp and fast to lock in AF. The bokeh is smooth and gradual when needed and fast and sharp when necessary. I’m shooting with an A7C & FX3. Love it. All G Masters have been amazing so far.

    Perfect!!!

This is exactly what I needed. 85mm screams quality and is perfect for portraits. The only thing I wish Sony would do is fix noise when the lens is focusing, but I can live with that.

    Exceptional glass

Exceptional build, solid feel, and stunning picture/video quality. If you do portrait work buy this lens. This is a must have for the A7R2. Slap this on an a6500 for a 127.5mm equivalent monster portrait lens.
