I do not recommend it, you cannot use it if you are far from home, perfect for playing from the comfort of your bed, but either way you will experience lag.

Great use inside house and close to home with great wifi

Had really high hopes but i feel the portal was not what i expected. Was hoping it was capable of streaming away form home alot better than it does. This is truly a handheld for the house completely useless when your away from home.

This item was an open item it’s missing charger manual and it also stinks weird it was a present and know I can’t return item because of their 2 week policies . I’m a stuck with this used product the stench is horrible

Gigabit internet and it’ll still constantly disconnect if you aren’t 5 feet away from your router

Doesn't stay connected to Internet and when it does stay connected it's sooo slow. I regret buying it.

Disappointed in best buy - after waiting in the que for many hours I successfully ordered one. Received shipping notification that it was being being returned to the sender (best buy) because of a hazardous issue with the package. Best Buy elite customer and total tech support offered me a different item. I understand things happen but the item should be replaced. If you read the comments on hotstock or nowinstock this is happening to other customers too, with some receiving replacements and others given no assistance like me. When they are still doing drops it doesnt seem very fair. I have been loyal to best buy purchasing total tech, geek squad pprtections for years and this gives me pause. Buy elsewhere.

Sony can do better, psp outnatches this any day. Put a little bit more effort into it and really could start a whole new market behind this with the right added features and a couple tweaks to the software

Not a fan of this. The connection even with high speed wifi is crazy laggy and just not enjoyable.

Between latency issues, selective Bluetooth support, and the inability to stream content from services like Netflix, Hulu and YouTube due to DRM rules, the Portal just couldn’t deliver an enjoyable experience or one I’d feel comfortable recommending.

Trash. High speed internet and the connection is terrible

It is ok for certain uses but I bought it because I travel for work and i thought it would be useful but it isn’t.

Having to always be online inorder to use this thing is not enticing at all.

Didn’t work well with my WiFi setup (mesh system). Good build quality but I found the connection to be too poor to use.

DO NOT BUY oprn box items they say they are in excellent condition and garaunteed to work this is not true. Complete scam!

Im a type of a person who loves hand held portable devies and i was exited for the ps portable the day finaly came i got my ps set it up and ready and with in 40min complete garbage 1-the screen is not oled 2- the input lag is horrible 3- sound quality is soo old basicly a cheap speakers. Basicly my Nintendo oled is way better and runs the games i want perfectly no issu sad to the ps portal didnt meat my standers and i alredy told my freinds about some of them knew that it was bad and most didnt they sure will not buy it when i told what it really was

Great device but a little expensive not worth 400 in my opinion

I want this system to work so badly but it’s just not usable. Ps5 with a high speed lan connection. Portable on high speed WiFi in the same room as the router. Consistent lost connection, unbearable lag in gameplay. It might work for games like the sims but if you’re trying to play anything competitive you’re going to be left very frustrated.
