I thought inwoukld by this and try it iut and hust return it if it wasnt up to par, but as soon as tou turn it on you will never want to put it down! I started off playing it at work with LTE hotspot and itt was pretty sweet. Rhe resolution is better with a good connection of course but it serves its purpose with me! Get one when you can! This think has caught fire quickly!

REMEMEBER, this is a straming device, not a standalone gaming system. You WILL experience minor stuttering. It will be different from the experience directly from the PS5 on a TV. With that being said, it is completely playable and I have put some hours into it without issues. I did, though, have to make sure my PS5 was connected via Ethernet cable because WiFi was too unstable to have smooth gameplay. Once I connected my ps5 directly to my router via Ethernet cable, the Portal worked really well. The screen is not OLED but it looks really nice. The controller feels great in the hand. I have medium sized male hands. I have tried PS5 remote gaming through my iPad Pro 11 inch with ps5 controller, iPhone, and MacBook. I’d still choose the Portal over those. It just feels better. And I like that the controller lights up green when turning on the the Pip-Boy light in Fallout 4. Overall it’s a great product as long as you know what you’re getting.

Great device works better than I expected definitely recommend for mobile ps5 or if you need to share the TV with others.

I recently purchased the PlayStation Portal from Best Buy as an open box item, and overall, it’s a solid addition to my gaming setup. The standout features for me are the controller feel and the screen size. The controllers are well-designed, comfortable, and responsive, providing an immersive gaming experience that matches the quality of a traditional PlayStation controller. The screen size is just right, making it easy to enjoy detailed graphics and gameplay without straining my eyes. However, it’s important to note that the graphics quality is highly dependent on your WiFi strength. When my connection is strong, the visuals are crisp and clear, enhancing the overall experience. But when the WiFi signal fluctuates, there’s a noticeable drop in graphic quality, which can be a bit frustrating. In summary, the PlayStation Portal is a great device for those who want to enjoy their PlayStation games on the go, provided they have a stable WiFi connection.

Got this for someone as a gift and they love it. The only thing that is off putting is that in order for it to work well with no lag you have to have really really good WiFi. If you have amazing WiFi and a ps5 I would say to get this but if you don’t have $200 but want something like this the backbone works just as well.

Pros: - The most ergonomic controller for remote play available. Very comfortable to hold and use for extended playing sessions. - Battery life is good - Screen quality is great though with minor caveat (see cons) - Overall build quality is good - Reasonably priced Cons - In the current firmware build, does not has the ability to turn on Playstation remotely (can only wake from rest mode) - In the current firmware build, does not support game streaming. - While the screen is great, but the screen finish is prone to reflection. I recommend using a screen glare resistant screen protector. - The analog stick is a bit more sensitive/loose than the standard DualSense, may take some getting used to. - Depending on the game and your network connection, may have minor delays/lags during gameplay (for me personally it was very minor). - If you are away from home, you will not be able to remote play physical games without the disc already in the PS5 console. Verdict - Recommend for those that would like to play PS5 around the house or remotely, especially for parents that needed to take care and watch the kids around the house. Despite the minor the cons, this is overall a very solid device.

Its amazing perfect screen size to play games and you dont need a ps5 any more yesssss....

It’s good at what it does. It allows you to play games on your PS5 when you’re not sitting in front of the TV next to your PS5. (Yes you NEED a PS5 also to use this). My biggest gripe, it does NOT support Bluetooth headphones. Hope you have an old RCA headphone or the new proprietary headphone / earbuds from Sony. Other than that, I haven’t noticed any meaningful lag, but I have been playing this in my house, so, make what you will of that. Oh, and I was unable to edit how the touch screen works, I have to tap it twice for it to operate the Touch Bar on the PS5 controller. I would have loved to change it to one touch, maybe I’m missing something. Final thoughts, if you’re a tech junky like me, I recommend getting it, otherwise, don’t. Wait for something that can play games natively and also support PS Remote, like the PS Vita that had its own games and it also let me remotely connect to the PS4 to play games when I was away from home.

How to download the uncharted PlayStation portal to wifi and fester between to PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4

Wasn’t sure at first about purchasing it but it was better than I expected.

I was a little skeptical on this but it is awesome! All you need is Wifi & you can play any game that is downloaded on your PS5! Only downside, if i had to pick one is that you cannot bluetooth your headset & the speakers are not that great.

To get the best out of this device you need 2 things: 1. PS5 plugged into your router via Ethernet. 2. Good wifi signal. In my experience, you can play most games at full speed without any issues. It's great for 3rd person action games, RPGs, platformers, etc. I assume twitchy online shooter games are less-good compared to just playing them on a console. But this is a streaming device, not a portable console. The screen is nice and big - a big win if you're used to playing/streaming games on your phone. The controller itself is basically all the same tech from the DualSense controller. Your hands might get uncomfortable after a long play session. Not sure if that's from the added weight of the device or the ergonomics of the device itself. It takes USB-C and has a headphone port, which is more than you can say about most devices nowadays. People like to compare this to handheld computers that cost much more and take much more work to set up PS5 streaming. This is a no-frills streaming device that works right out of the box. It doesn't promise to offer more than that.

I hate that i like this and it works well. I cant wait until they have a legitimate portable player rather than just a streaming device - its very dependent on having a perfect wifi signal. however, when it works, it works great!
