Great idea in theory but you need blazing fast WIFI to stream off of the console. The cloud play with the Playstation Plus subscription is the only alternative but it's another subscription fee on top of everything else we pay for and they add up fast. Returned it after 24 hours.

Not worth it. Iternet based and normally it cannot be fast enough or glitches. We have wifi 7 and 5 gig internet with fiber, and it was junk even in home.

Tried it twice within a couple years and still never worked good at all. Maybe with updates it works better now, but even with gigabyte internet, it still never even ran decent.

You cannot play Fortnite unless you are connected to your console, which defeats the purpose of having a handheld/remote player to free up the tv. Also, there is no search option for the games that actually are available to stream; you have to browse through the whole list.

It's good but buttons tend to get stuck on the portable. But it is fine when you are on the road.

The OTS connection to the PS5 offers seamless and reliable connectivity, facilitating efficient data transfer and enhancing the overall user experience. However, one notable drawback is its limited battery life, which necessitates frequent charging and may disrupt uninterrupted usage. Addressing this issue would significantly improve the product's functionality and user satisfaction.

Bought the portal to use while I’m away from home. Tried to use it while at a hotel and was completely unplayable. Tried again when I was home and it was still borderline unplayable in the next room over. Returned it days later

Was looking for something like the switch. Even at home connected to a strong WiFi it would lag. If you need for more than 1 person to play it won’t let.

It constantly connect and disconnect to WiFi, I have other devices without any connection issues in my home network. The PS5 also connect perfectly to WiFi, the only device with this problem is the Portal. I restarted the router and nothing. I will return it tomorrow. I do not recommend it.

Why no Geek Squad plans for Black model??

I picked up my Midnight Black Portal yesterday. There was and still is no option to add a Geek Squad protection plan. This option only exists with the White Portal. Why? If you click on the WHITE Portal purchase page, you will see options to purchase a Geek Squad protection plan, just below the “Add to Cart” button. Now click on the BLACK Portal purchase page. There are no Geek Squad plans available. The White and Black Portals are identical in all ways, except for color. What is going on here? I will bs returning my Midnight Black Portal unless an option to purchase Geek Squad protection is added.

This PS5 accesory is HOT GARBAGE! Even standing rihht next to your router tour gaming experience will still have lag. Forget playing shooters online like COD. Salute to Sony for stealing $199 from me by selling a mini screen with a controller on it. My Internet is 1026 mbps and still get lag and my console is hard wired. SAVE YOUR $$$
