The ergonomics and feel of this remote player are unparalleled. Fantastic when everything is working properly, haptics, comfort, etc; But no matter what you do there will always be a level of input lag/stuttering. I have 1/GB Internet and a great wifi 6e router with the PS5 hardwired and still can't achieve flawless streaming. Sony needed to make this wifi 6 compatible or dialed in their remote playing app before launching this product.

It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done. On good Internet, the picture quality is actually really good little to no lag, is actually a really great accessory for someone who doesn’t want to be in front of the TV all the time

Son loves it. Say best Xmas gift ever. To be able to connect to his playstation and play his video games without taking my living room tv and playstation is a great feature!

I keep going back to it thinking it’s worth it…it’s not. Don’t buy it. In reality if you can have a 5G hotspot at any given time then buy it. Let’s be real though, no average day to day person has that option. They’re running off 2.4G WiFi and maybe an okay 5G connection. But overall, not worth it. PlayStation is trying to make it the “modern PSP” by having cloud gaming on it but you have to have their most expensive subscription to play the cloud games. Oh, and the cloud games are what they deem suitable to be on there for now. You can still connect to your PlayStation 5…if it’s in Rest Mode. If not or you forget to put it in rest mode, well, it’s cloud games or nothing. It won’t turn on your PlayStation from being “off”. So overall it’s more of one of those weird, odd, collectible gaming items to make fun of later on. Lastly: - Not an OLED screen or even LED - 1080p resolution IF you’re lucky - Usually always runs below 1080p when on a different WiFi or connection point that what the console itself is on. - Battery life sucks - Joysticks are the definition of sensitive to the touch…as in they feel loose and fragile. They are super sensitive to movement - Photo provided is it running at 1080p but don’t let it fool you. There is a ton of lag time. The resolution was only maxed out because the PlayStation was in the same room and the PlayStation and the portal were the only two items on the WiFi. (PS5 was on 5G and the portable was on 2.4G)

Bought this for our daughter for Christmas. She has not put it down since! I actually played it as well and like it! Great for the whole family!

I play this at work and when I visit my cousins house. I can remote play using my phone’s hot spot without any lagging.

This is an excellent adaptation to my PS5. I love the new update where you dont need the PS5 to play it. I highly recommend the PS Portal

Sony made a great update with these . The remote play works so well.if you wanna lay back and game it’s a great system accessory. Add the buds to add the extra touch.

Not a need bud definitely a cool thing to have if you’re busy not always home or if you want to play in bed, not a lot of lag or delay barley noticeable

You get exactly what's listed nothing more, you will need a decent wifi connection both at home where your PS5 is and where you are with your portal. That aside, it works great, a great way to have your PS5 pretty much anywhere, highly recommend it!

Good screen and hardware, the battery lasts for quite some time and an extremely high-quality 8" LCD screen. It's a full DualSense integration (haptics, mic, motion) which is very familiar sense you have to have a PS5 to use this device

I knew what to expect when buying it and its limitations especially when it comes to Media, web browsing, no Bluetooth, (i wasn’t disappointed) i dont travel with it. Pretty much use when my kids on the TV or wife wants me to come to bed.

Awesome idea and fits my use case perfectly. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work well enough to recommend. Even when using gig-speed internet while wired to PS5 and sitting right next to the router, it has unplayable stutter. Sometimes, the lag is so bad that I can't even navigate the PS menu or play a game. Sometimes it doesn't even connect. So disappointing. I've heard that there may be variance in performance between units. Maybe I just got a bad one.

It's nice enjoying PS5 games from any area of my house. I didn't think I'd be a fan of this device, but I prefer gaming with the Portal more everyday. But I am disappointed that the Portal is limited to just WI-FI.
