Very good when you are away from home and you want to have a good time playing.

The color of the portal is fire and the game is really cool to use when you don’t feel like playing the full console. It’s easy and you can take it anywhere

The connectivity isn’t always great. Has potential if they can improve the connectivity and reduce lagging when connecting directly to the console. Works well with the streaming beta with little lagging even on mobile hotspot. However, the selection of games you can stream is very limited. Also when streaming games don’t always save.

Ever since the update I have been able to play it more. The ability to take it anywhere makes it a plus as well. I highly recommend anyone that doesn’t have it should definitely go get one, especially for the price.

The PS portal is a necessary accessory for the PlayStation ecosystem. It’s really good for when you don’t want to have your TV on, but you want to play your titles. I love the high-definition screen and the features it provides. For example, it has the same rumble feature and most of the features of the PlayStation game controller. If you’d like the convenience of playing your games remotely as long as you have a robust Wi-Fi, I highly recommend this device as a great addition to your PlayStation 5.

High end quality, you can play anywhere and very convenient. Graphics are amazing! One thing I would suggest would be amazing if you can play it without having to leave your ps5 running all day.

The size and simplicity of the device is great. For the price and the new streaming update, makes it stand alone and perfect for on the move gaming! No real lag or delay especially if your ps5 is connected via ethernet cord.

I was a little hesitant to buy this as it's wifi only and wasn't sure how much I would use it, but as it turns out I use it all the time.
When the family is watching something that doesn't interest me I grab the portal and am all set. If I'm travelling I can connect it to my hotspot and stream games without issue. There are the occasional hiccups, but mostly it works like a champ.
I love the ergonomics and the screen. Having dual sense is also rather awesome. Highly recommend this.

It's actually a fairly solid device that has surprised me. It can still be better. For the price and the functionality, it is pretty impressive. What really surprised me was that I was at my friends house 50 miles away in the next county. He has very good internet and solid wifi connectivity at his house. I was trying to show him the thing by connecting to his PS5. And that did not work well at all, in fact it got stuck and I had trouble getting out of an error screen. Then when I finally was able to get back to the home screen, it did something I wasn't expecting.
After about 30 seconds. It told me that it had connected to my PS5 back home. A bit surprised I connected and proceeded to play a Contra demo, which requires some decent quickness to play the game well enough to beat it. And then I showed my friend the FF7 Rebirth demo, set the game to performance mode because there's no point playing a 30fps mode when the resolution is set to 1080p. And it ran at a slightly stuttered 60fps mode. Some odd artifacts from time to time, but overall. I was playing a very nice high production game at a very smooth framerate. My friend immediately took notice and became interested in the device.
Obviously it boils down to you being somewhere with a good wifi connection and also having a good overall inter et connection. But for $200, you can play some really nice games that run good enough to actually play them.
The only thing I am still disappointed is the battery life. Bit eventually you will go somewhere where there's a wall plug
Excellent accessory, but may not be useful for all

If you have the PSN streaming feature, this becomes extremely valuable since then you can continue using this independently of the actual Play Station, so you can stream something directly while the PS is being used for something else. The screen is a decent size, and the controller still manages to feel very natural despite the wider grip.
I personally found playing racing games difficult just because of how I move my hands, but RPGs especially are super fun to run on this.
That being said, my brother returned his purely because he hardly used it. It is somewhat of a niche for this to actively be used. If your usage is still primarily the main console or you don't move around enough to justify this, then it will just gather dust. So I think it's worth checking out your play flow to see if it's actually useful.

I personally like the playstation portal. It’s comfortable to hold and convenient to use around the house especially if you have kids. One downfall is it doesn’t connect to the PlayStation sometimes even when on rest mode. So make sure you got somebody home to restart your PlayStation, in case you can’t connect away from home. I played Spider-Man Miles Morales flawlessly along with Mortal Kombat 1. I can’t wait till they add cloud streaming.

The PS portal surprised me with how much I actually use it. It's perfect for when the TV is in use and it connects fairly easily so I can play even if I can't use the TV I have it hooked up to. It does occasionally struggle to connect due to you have to be fully signed into the console first but most of the time it only takes two or three tries to get it to connect.

Gaming on PS5 anywhere in your house! Loving it so far, i haven’t experience any lagging my internet speed (1000mps upload/download). I also owned the backbone the phone screen is just too small for me to enjoy gaming. The vibrant screen delivers an immersive gaming experience. The only downside for me its a bit heavy. It can be a bit burdensome during extended gaming sessions. Overall I love it I wish PlayStation will roll out an update with web browser.
