This is a 5 Star product when your PS5 is hardwired to your router. The screen is gorgeous. I know statistically it isn’t an OLED but being 1080p makes a huge difference in display quality. As a father of 2 it increases the amount of available time I can play my PlayStation by 2 to 3 times the amount I played before.

It is a nice looking piece of tech. It don’t take much to connect it to your PS5 and start playing. A couple issues is that even with good internet, it gets spotty and frame rate drops, and if you have an update in the background, yikes. And I wish the joysticks was the same size of the dualsense controllers, but that’s just a personal issue. It’s convenient when I want to watch a show and still play the game, hopefully it gets better the more supportive updates comes along.

As long as you understand that this portal is a "gateway" to games on your Playstation and Playstation library, and that you will need a good wifi connection then this product is good. No it does not have storage to download any game

This is a good product, but you need to have an extremely great internet service to use it. So, basically, you have to play next to your router what limited the places where you can use it.

This is the only way I can play my PlayStation five away from home. Excellent but the my the Wi-Fi connection doesn’t matter on the quality of the picture but overall A+.

This was this was gift for my kid. He really loved it. It is awesome and he really enjoyed it and now Sonny just released an update that allows you when you are Sony PlayStation plus member you can play your game that you purchased online for free no need to have even PS5, which is great.

I recently purchased the PlayStation Portal from Best Buy as an open box item, and overall, it’s a solid addition to my gaming setup. The standout features for me are the controller feel and the screen size. The controllers are well-designed, comfortable, and responsive, providing an immersive gaming experience that matches the quality of a traditional PlayStation controller. The screen size is just right, making it easy to enjoy detailed graphics and gameplay without straining my eyes. However, it’s important to note that the graphics quality is highly dependent on your WiFi strength. When my connection is strong, the visuals are crisp and clear, enhancing the overall experience. But when the WiFi signal fluctuates, there’s a noticeable drop in graphic quality, which can be a bit frustrating. In summary, the PlayStation Portal is a great device for those who want to enjoy their PlayStation games on the go, provided they have a stable WiFi connection.

REMEMEBER, this is a straming device, not a standalone gaming system. You WILL experience minor stuttering. It will be different from the experience directly from the PS5 on a TV. With that being said, it is completely playable and I have put some hours into it without issues. I did, though, have to make sure my PS5 was connected via Ethernet cable because WiFi was too unstable to have smooth gameplay. Once I connected my ps5 directly to my router via Ethernet cable, the Portal worked really well. The screen is not OLED but it looks really nice. The controller feels great in the hand. I have medium sized male hands. I have tried PS5 remote gaming through my iPad Pro 11 inch with ps5 controller, iPhone, and MacBook. I’d still choose the Portal over those. It just feels better. And I like that the controller lights up green when turning on the the Pip-Boy light in Fallout 4. Overall it’s a great product as long as you know what you’re getting.

[Employee of bestbuy] Awesome for playing PS5 anywhere in the house. Big bright screen and DualSense controls feel legit. If you already own a PS5, this is pure convenience and comfort.

Skeptical at first, but with the newer updates they made it so that you can play your library online without needing to pair it with your PS5 and am very happy with it. You need to be paying for the Premium subscription in order to be able to play your games library, so, if you do already pay for it, it's worth it!

It is very high quality and cheap for what it has. you can play it from around the world and on the road. if it is laggy it means you need a stronger connection. So overall i would recommend buying this product.

I’ve been using my iPad paired with a dualsense for remote play since I’ve had my PS5, but this is just so much better and more convenient. Now, I can literally play my PS5 games just about anywhere and not have to worry about having somewhere to place my iPad while playing. The pottal also does great with reconnecting if it drops connection unlike the remote play app on tablets/phones. I tried a backbone for a while but hated tying up my phone to use just for that. My only complaints so far are that the touchpad integration feels kinda thrown in, and I’m also not a huge fan of the PS button placement. It’s not perfect, no…but I’ve been loving it since I got it.

I think the Portal is a great thing to use. I feels great in your hands and the display is great. The only big issue i have is that there is no bluetooth and the 2 options playstation are releasing for the portal haven’t come out yet and costly a roughly combined ~$300. Haven’t had any bad experiences with this product at all.

This thing has been fantastic. At first, I didn't think I would be using it often. like, if I want to play the PS, i'll just play on the TV, but the experience has been magical. Now instead of playing on my couch until way too late in the night, now I play on my bed until way too late. Can't talk to the experience about playing it outside my house though. Lastly, I love the feel of the controller, like I'm actually holding a PS controller, when comparing my experience to the Asus ROG Ally, in which the controller just felt awkward.
