Was skeptical about buying the PlayStation portal because all the reviews I saw online , I decided to give it a try & it surprised me on how well it performs , The PlayStation Portal Works Really Well for online games! I recommend having a stable internet connection at home , to prevent any lagging and have a smooth gaming experience.

This thing rocks,as long as you have internet where you are you can play your favorite games. Of course faster internet the smoother the experience. I have noticed minor skipping seldomly which will no doubt be fixed with a patch im sure. Overall though games feel more emersive than ever and often preform flawlessly. Picture quality and haptics are top notch as well as the triggers its like taking your controller with you on the go even has the blue light up the sides- a nice asthenic. If you can get your hands on one do it ignore the people that say it sucks they clearly dont see its true purpose

Hear me out. The thought behind this is awesome but there are lot of people who complain about this not working and some of them are valid. One of the things that you need to understand is that this will deliver high quality graphics and for that you need a good connection. You also need to make sure that your PS5 and portal are both connected to a 5ghz network because its now the standard. If your router doesnt have 5ghz then get one because 2ghz is outdated.

I love this thing. I think its priced great for the quality. I do have some connectivity issues occasionally, but I think I need to buy a WiFi extendor for my basement as the PS5 is pretty far from our router. All in all it has worked great.. I probably have more screen time on this thing than my actual PS5 that's hooked up on the big screen downstairs.. the portability and convenience makes it way easier for me to actually chill and play at the end of the night.

System works great. Experiencing no connection issues. Now I'm able to play my PS5 anywhere in my home or on the go. Please note you have to have a dependable Wi-Fi network and a ps5 to connect to in order to play. I give it four stars because you are not able to connect any Bluetooth headset. You have to buy a special PlayStation link headset for that. However, it does have headphones jack for corded headset. All in all, I am glad PlayStation made this accessory.

Hi speed Internet needed for best experience and I wish the picture quality was better for fast paced games even and for the best experience you MUST set your PS5 to 1080p and performance mode but you can only do that on console not the device it self but for what it is it works good enough to play away from your console IF you have good Internet.

I've been using this for the past couple of days now and it's honestly great to use around the house. I have my PS5 hardwired in our office, but sometimes I want to continue playing my game on the couch or even in bed. There is a SLIGHT delay, but the graphics and everything is amazing. You have to get used to the delay for games like COD, NBA 2K, and FC24. Overall really great product. Can't wait to use it while traveling!

Is good console we can use any time any where I can says nothing wrong about it

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the Portal at first, when I realized that this device was just for remote play and not one for streaming games or the like. But I quickly found myself really enjoying using it. The screen is awesome and great quality and the controls work wonderfully. I’ve been playing my PS5 so much more thanks to the Portal. That being said, you really do need to make sure you have access to great wi-fi or it won’t work at all. So, no playing on hotel wi-fi or at the coffeeshop, unfortunately.

I wanted something that would give me the freedom to play my Ps5 if I couldn’t be on the couch in the living room and this was the perfect solution, I was actually surprised how well it works having delved into cloud gaming and other options before.

Your experience will completely depend on the quality of you WiFi. But it is a surprisingly decent device… We have 1gb fiber with eero WiFi 6e routers and it works amazingly…. However I had the portal for a month when we had pretty crappy internet with stock routers… and the experience was MISERABLE

Good for on the go. Always has to reconnect in the middle of a game. Weak battery life. Too weird for my hands. Prefer regular ps5 controller better.

I like the design of the portal by having the ps5 controller design. The connection was stable as long as your near your router. I recommend for people who share a tv where their ps5 is connected and can still play their ps5 anytime while another person is using the tv. I don’t think it will work well outside or traveling depending on the internet connection. The portal is a companion device and don’t expect much other than being able to walk around the house and play your ps5 games.

i mean it’s good if you don’t have a ps5 but if you do it’s kinda pointless in my opinion

Love this thing it connects well when I’m at home ‘I haven’t used it outside of my home yet but I have a trip coming up and I plan on bringing it along But for the most part it works well while at home

I like it a lot but your PS5 needs to be connected to the internet via cable or you’ll have a hard time connecting to the console. The picture is great and the size is good for viewing and the grip is comfortable for both hands.

I was hesitant about this product. However I have used it almost daily since I got it. I have alot of digital games and that is how you make the most of this product. The graphics are incredible and I have played online. Online gameplay drains the battery life quicker but for the most part you can get a solid amount of time gaming, online or otherwise! Highly recommend if you want to game and not have to haul your PS5 around. 10 out 10 must try again!!

Despite the lack of inventory and chasing around to purchase the unit, the device is completely worth it for times when I’m only able to squeeze a couple of minites to play without bothering the entire household. It depends completely on your wifi strength and bandwith, but overall great experience, decent screen size while playing before going to bed and the familiarity of playing with the ps5 controller. The addition of the explorer earbuds is just the icing on the cake for having wireless audio.
