PS5 with great home wifi is required! Slow to start up but responsive and fun once it gets going.

Awesome sony product. Kids loved it. Sets up very easy with existing PS5. Kids dont hog the TV anymore :)

Nice idea, and the quality of the device is good, but it's basically the equivalency if the Wii U pad. It works best near the PS5, which needs to be on so might as well just play on the TV. If you play on the road, you need very strong wifi and the PS5 needs to be on. The only reason I can see using it is if you want to play the PS5 in a different room or while someone is watching TV.

Well, I will be returning item because it does not work on Wi-Fi that I do not already have at home. So the point of getting this device is so that I can travel with it and since I cannot use it on my hotspot or on other Wi-Fi, it makes this item pointless.

Hope they come with updates it’s not the best but it works at home

You need to have a ps5, this is a steaming device for the ps5.

Love the product just make sure you have good WiFi, some say a hotspot is good maybe on certain games.

Great device but, do not purchase if you have bad WiFi.

Awesome accessories for the PS5 if you like to remote play. Having fast WiFi is a must for smooth playing.

I was able to purchase this portal still while they where mostly sold customer service was very helpful

I got the Playstation Portal to try and play my 1 player games while my wife watches TV. It was hard to stream TV service, the Portal, and the Playstation 5 on as well as our devices. The Portal would lose quality at times and have lag spikes. Maybe for leaving your house and playing games the Portal will be better. And i have 1GB of Verizon Fios so should have been enough, but i returned it.

Bought this for my son. Hes at boarding school and his playstation is home. He hoped he could use the portal to play away from home but that was not the case. Wont even connect to wifi. Wish i would've read the reviews before i purchased this 200$ brick.
