Why no Geek Squad plans for Black model??

I picked up my Midnight Black Portal yesterday. There was and still is no option to add a Geek Squad protection plan. This option only exists with the White Portal. Why? If you click on the WHITE Portal purchase page, you will see options to purchase a Geek Squad protection plan, just below the “Add to Cart” button. Now click on the BLACK Portal purchase page. There are no Geek Squad plans available. The White and Black Portals are identical in all ways, except for color. What is going on here? I will bs returning my Midnight Black Portal unless an option to purchase Geek Squad protection is added.

Cool idea but fails in many ways. Battery life mediocre. Network connection is unstable. Has a hard time connecting to remote play. I wish it was fully portable, you have to stay in really close proximity to your PS5. The graphics are clean. Controls or grip is a comfy.

All you need to do is look up connectivity issues on youtube. There is a reason there are so many people talking about it. This thing sucks. Ive done every trick they recommended, only got it to connect twice out of probably 100 times. Dont waste your time.

Definitely not worth it, doesn't connect right away to the ps5 and im in the same room as my wifi and ps5. Lagging and delays. Only can play ps5 games. If u have an external hard drive on ps5 with ps4 games...u wont be able to play them on portal.

Fun While It Lasted, But Major Controller Flaw

I was thrilled to buy the PlayStation, but the excitement didn’t last. After only two days of use, the left thumbstick on the controller stopped working up and down (although it still worked side to side). Thinking this was just a rare issue, I returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it for a new one. Unfortunately, the replacement had the exact same issue—this time within just a few hours of gameplay. For a product at this price point, it’s frustrating that Sony didn’t make the controllers detachable or the thumbsticks easily replaceable. It’s a shame because the console itself was a lot of fun, but I won’t be getting another if the controller can’t keep up.

Although the screen graphics are nice, the device NEVER stays connected! even when I'm close to router, which makes play extremely frustrating.

Internet connectivity is awful. I started playing after setting up and could not pass 5 minutes without the system disconnecting from the wifi even though I was sitting next to the router. I give it 2 stars because its a great concept for when wifey is watching tv and you wanna sit next to her and play your game.

Beware of Purchase an Open Box from Best Buy

I bought an open box marked as it was the first available unit since I’ve been checking daily since November. The product was marked as excellent condition at that price point. The PS Portal arrived with a broken right stick making it useless. Obviously they aren’t testing properly before charging their customers for the highest tier of quality and condition. I went into the store in hopes I could get out at the top of their line for a replacement. They said they couldn’t do anything, call corporate. I called Best Buy corporate who couldn’t help me either and at one point they advised I check with their competitors then list three of them. No offers to help or compensation for their false advertisement/quality escape, but just keep checking. I cannot review an operational unit, but can recommend customers not to purchase an open box item from Best Buy.

Very glitchy must keep Your actual PS on the entire time while playing so if you leave the state or are out of town and trying to use it, it will not work unless you are keeping your device on at home

I did not like the product because it still does not work as they promise it does, it is completely unstable in terms of connection and does not really work on the street and for use inside my house I prefer to use my console directly without input lag.

A Horror Show on the Go - Avoid this “portable”

I'm bitterly disappointed with my experience with the PlayStation Portable. What a letdown! The device's WiFi connectivity is a joke. It refused to connect to my phone's hotspot, and to make matters worse, it couldn't even detect the hotel's WiFi network because it lacks a browser to enter the necessary login credentials! The PS Portable’s inability to adapt to modern WiFi networks makes it a paperweight. I was looking forward to playing games on the go, but this device's antiquated tech turned it into a frustrating experience. The lack of a browser is a glaring oversight, making it useless in many situations. Unless you're looking for a dust collector, I'd advise against wasting your money on this relic. Sony should have done better. What a horrible experience!
