Great gadget I can play games on the PS portal while my wife watches her tv shows or if I want to lay down but still play some games. Previously used a backbone but the PS portal is comfortable no different from using the PS5 controller. Connects to PS5 quickly and even gaming online is not too bad as long as your internet connection is good enough. Wish the battery lasted longer but I am very happy and wish I bought it ages ago!

Great device I'm liking the all black look of it. Work well have to have a strong internet connection to make if feel smooth when playing. Don't recommend on competitive PVP games but definitely recommend for PVE and solo games when just relaxing or you want to be away from where you usually game and lay down and play instead

This was a Christmas present and my daughter loves it. She takes it EVERYWHERE with her. Its strong the mobility helps when im doing homework. That way i can sot her down and allow her to game while i do work. This is awesome.

Read the reviews and updates making this device a true portable. Great for my daughter away in college. At first it did not connect. Later to someone's advice I connect my PS5 to ethernet and it worked fine.

I am actually surprised. I didn’t buy this to use outside of the house. I thought it would be a waste of money since I would only use it in my house. It is really nice to play the game while in my bedroom watching tv since the ps5 is in my family room. I have used more than i thought i would. It connects without any problems and i haven't had any issues while playing madden or anything else. I would definitely recommend this.

Portal is a great purchase if you want to still play in your house or if you have a lot of free time in another place that is not your house, the wifi only system is a bit of a bummer, but besides that, it is exactly what you want for mobile gaming.

Pros: - The most ergonomic controller for remote play available. Very comfortable to hold and use for extended playing sessions. - Battery life is good - Screen quality is great though with minor caveat (see cons) - Overall build quality is good - Reasonably priced Cons - In the current firmware build, does not has the ability to turn on Playstation remotely (can only wake from rest mode) - In the current firmware build, does not support game streaming. - While the screen is great, but the screen finish is prone to reflection. I recommend using a screen glare resistant screen protector. - The analog stick is a bit more sensitive/loose than the standard DualSense, may take some getting used to. - Depending on the game and your network connection, may have minor delays/lags during gameplay (for me personally it was very minor). - If you are away from home, you will not be able to remote play physical games without the disc already in the PS5 console. Verdict - Recommend for those that would like to play PS5 around the house or remotely, especially for parents that needed to take care and watch the kids around the house. Despite the minor the cons, this is overall a very solid device.

What can’t I say about the PlayStation portal ever since I got it I’ve been enjoying the use of it and have been playing games nonstop. Great to use while others. Want to watch TV and I feel like having a game session and also awesome cook to take games on the road can’t say enough about how well the experience using the PlayStation portal and how awesome the stream part of gaming is the library offers plenty of awesome games I enjoy playing and really enjoy the operation of the system really can tell a quality product from a great company

Worth the money. I bought this and literally have not turned my tv back on. It’s so nice to be able to play Helldivers 2 in my hands. I have been having back problems so I can lay down and have the games on my PS5 in the palm of my hands. I only play a max of 4 hours so the battery life is great.

To get the best out of this device you need 2 things: 1. PS5 plugged into your router via Ethernet. 2. Good wifi signal. In my experience, you can play most games at full speed without any issues. It's great for 3rd person action games, RPGs, platformers, etc. I assume twitchy online shooter games are less-good compared to just playing them on a console. But this is a streaming device, not a portable console. The screen is nice and big - a big win if you're used to playing/streaming games on your phone. The controller itself is basically all the same tech from the DualSense controller. Your hands might get uncomfortable after a long play session. Not sure if that's from the added weight of the device or the ergonomics of the device itself. It takes USB-C and has a headphone port, which is more than you can say about most devices nowadays. People like to compare this to handheld computers that cost much more and take much more work to set up PS5 streaming. This is a no-frills streaming device that works right out of the box. It doesn't promise to offer more than that.

This is a wonderful addition to our PS5 in which we are extremely happy with. it allows additional play from another room and enjoyment for the other players in the house. I’m so happy we purchased it.

I love using this when I can sit the couch with my wife and daughter. I will say battery life is not great and the connectivity can get a little laggy but it is still fun!

Love this portal . Battery life is good games run smooth . What more can u ask for ,i think sony have nailed it with thw software updates.

At home, it works great. This PS Portal is easily my favorite gift. With balancing work life, relationships, school, and homelife, it’s given me the convenience to play my games more in the moments that I wouldn’t have before. Most of the time when I’ve found myself having the downtime to play my PS5, it’s been while my fiancé and I are in bed and she’s either aimlessly scrolling her tiktoks or watching her tv shows. We both work full-time and go to school, so of course we want to be in the same space even if we’re doing our own thing to de-compress in our own ways. This has given me the ease of being able to lay up with her and play my games simultaneously, while she rotates like a hot dog in a gas station, switching between the tv and her phone. No more having to get everything set up on the tv or her feeling like she’s not getting attention, because i’m using the tv. In her words, this is a gift to her too since it benefits her so much. Haha, all jokes aside, I highly recommend. Also to add, anyone who claims it’s laggy or has poor connection, needs to get better wifi. I have 500mbps and no issues. Only thing I would say that could make the Portal better would be to have the ability to play any game online with a wifi connection, while away from your console. It’s possible to play from the cloud, but you have to have the highest PlayStation subscription, and even then so, you can only play games that are current in the store for that subscription, which pretty well defeats the purpose for me. Overall though, I give it a 10/10.

Sturdy build and great performance. Took a bit to update first out of box but works like champ.

After reading reviews and checking out videos, i was lucky to get this before it sold out. It has helped me put in 30 hours of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. I am a full time worker with a wife and kid who has a disability. I dont have to feel guilty about taking the only tv when the wife or kid wants to watch something. It is easy to set up and get working. Its very seamless when using it and the performance is great. My internet is 30 mbps and i have not had an issue with using it at home. Can be charged with the same cable for the PS5 remotes and have been able to play it for a little over and hour before i put it down to do other things. Its very comfortable just like the PS5 remotes. It also feels light but not too heavy. The volume is really loud for this particular unit. It has been a purchase i dont regret getting.
