Such a great gift for my grandchild. Easy to use and very small

I love this thing! It works seemlessly. I have a direct line from my playstation to my router so the performance on my Portal is excellent. I recommend keeping your game settings on performance mode for the best experience. The set up was also very simple. I was gaming in less than 5 minutes after updates. Its also surprisingly light and the controllers are legit PS5 controllers. If you have to share the tv or if you like gaming while laying in bed, you need to check this thing out!

This is a pretty amazing little device. My teen sons love them and found they can be played almost anywhere with a Wifi connection, with one son playing his on his phone hotspot while in a friends car. (It lagged, but it worked!) The screen is good sized and very clear. My only concern is if the joysticks start drifting later, there is probably no quick fix. We caught these on sale, so I doubt I would have paid full price for them.

When I first bought this product I quite frankly did not enjoy it due to the connectivity issues. Through my research I’ve discovered that the issues has be corrected and may purchase this again after returning it.

I was so happy I got one and I use it much more than I anticipated! As a father with 3 kids in the house all competing for the television, the Portal frees me up to be able to sit with them and still enjoy the full power of my PS5. The screen and controls just fit so comfortably in my hands and I love being able to move around the house as needed while still having access to my games. It was hard to get my hands on one of these but it was so worth the weight! Love my Portal!

Best idea sony has come up with in a long time. Can play my Playstation 100s miles away. Keep up with my gameplay with friends and foes. Great picture, smooth play. Price is very reasonable. Its like having a second ps5. No more packing up the set and taking a chance of breaking it. Love it.

Excellent portable device for the PS5. Make sure to run an Ethernet cable from your router to your PS5.

Having the option to remotely play its main reason why i bought it, however…. There a few flaws which I hope they can fix with an update. If you want to play any game on your console, it must be installed or else it doesnt allow you to play (stream games) also u cant use any app installed on your ps5 such as disney plus or anything else. Wifi at home is very strong and still glitches but overall ok

It allows you to play games while your kids or wife are using the TV. Genius.

Excellent addition to playstation. I have enjoyed Gran Turismo on this. I can use this throughout my home. I plan on taking this on vacation, but have not done that yet.

Lots of mixed reviews on this but I do like it a lot. Kind of depends on the game, some just feel better playing on a console but everything I've played so far plays perfectly fine. I have put quite a few hours on fallout 4 playing handheld. I would definitely recommend if someone in your house is hogging the tv all the time and you just want to play video games haha

I have used this for both local streaming on a ps5 wired to the router and also for cloud streaming. It works great for both. There is some lag but that is to be expected, it’s like playing a game at 30 fps. The video quality is good. The controller is good. The screen is good.

At first I was skeptical. However now with Sony update, you can now stream PlayStation games without the PS5 console. Just remember to buy a PlayStation subscription in order to play. This portal is great incase your tv is being used and want to go lay down or go somewhere else to play.

After system update i can play more than 200 games without ps5) all what I need it's PlayStation Plus Premium. Long time battery life.

Is good not great, since it depends mostly on your upload speed of your internet. Try using good ethernet cable on the ps5 for better connection. If using wifi try putting your primary bandwidth on your ps5 to the 5gtz . Also let your ps5 run for like 2 minutes before connecting, when i connect the portal immediately after turning on the game the connection was static while using wifi. Overall good accessory to have.

Device has improved greatly with cloud play. Still best when playing campaign style games and not multiplayer online.

It’s made by Sony-so of course it will outshine the 3rd Party Competition. Yes you could use a Steam Deck to get close to the same experience on OLED, but let’s be honest why would you pay more? I wish the screen was OLED, but it’s simple and it works. It lags on occasion when out of home network, but it’s to be expected. Overall it’s new and I’m sure Sony will release future updates to alleviate issues. PARENTS I’m sure some have discovered you NEED a PlayStation 5 for this work. This is not a Nintendo Switch.

I love it I bought one for my son also I'm a little worried about how well the controllers will hold up over time but so far so good I would suggest if you are buying it for a serious gamer that you get a warranty with it some type of extended warranty

The connectivity isn’t always great. Has potential if they can improve the connectivity and reduce lagging when connecting directly to the console. Works well with the streaming beta with little lagging even on mobile hotspot. However, the selection of games you can stream is very limited. Also when streaming games don’t always save.
