I love these headphones. I also bought the PS Gold 20th anniversary headset when they came out and loved those as well. The virtual surround works great to immerse you into the game you're playing. They're great for FPS so you can hear the enemy sneaking up behind you. They have a beautiful design, great sound, great microphone quality and they're comfortable. What more could you ask for?

The sound quality is excellent. There’s also a free app on the PlayStation Store that enables you to customize the audio based on the type of content you’re enjoying. The battery life is also impressive.

I played it with my playstation vr and the 3D sound works perfectly. Also, I can play for hours and no tired of using it.

I had to purchase a new pair of headphones for my PS4 Pro and kind of being fancy to replacing my Gold version, but I was wrong Gold version is way better than the Platinum in terms of comfort, connection and mic. I have checked it and compared with Gold myself over an hour and friend to ensure a fair judgment but I had to return it. not comfortable on head and BT connections drops during my playtime.

I got these solely for my PSVR and they’re the perfect fit. 3D sound is great and it’s been really nice to block out outside noise and play with decent sound when gaming in the wee hours of the morning so I don’t disturb anyone. I originally balked at the cost but have used Sony headphones in the past and I’m glad that I finally did get these. I can’t speak for the wireless connectivity or the microphone as I haven’t used them yet.

After owning a gold headset for years, I decided to upgrade to the platinum. This thing is loaded with features and the sound quality is incredible. The only con is the comfort. I have it set to the largest possible but the rubber strap on top still sits on top of my head and gets uncomfortable after an hour or 2. Would still recommend!

The sound on this headset is by far the best. The sound is an upgrade from the gold headset. The buttons on the headset aren't very friendly to use because they are much smaller which make them more difficult to feel for. Also the headband although is much more durable than their previous version. Feels a bit more tighter on someone like me with a larger head. Which can become uncomfortable after 2 hours of use.
