My old headphones used to hurt my head after wearing them for a while. These I barely feel like I’m wearing them. The sound on these is very impressive, you really have to try them to get a sense of the 7.1 surround sound. I would highly recommend these and I do appreciate these come with a wired connection as well.

INFINITELY BETTER THAN THE GOLD HEADSET

Seriously worth every penny and coming from the PC world this is a phenomenal headset for a console, and on top of that this headset is MUCH more durable. Broke my GOLD twice during the two years I had it. The Platinum is solid.

Great wireless headphone for PS4

The sound clarity and surround sound on these definitely beats the gold headset (which are very good in the own right). If you can afford the higher price tag these headphones are definitely worth it.
