Unfortunately if you use the aux cord to connect to a mobile device, the audio switches to the tv and you only hear what’s on the phone in the headphones.

It gives you the ability to focus the volume more to the game or to the chat with your friends. The only downside is that the mic is built into the headset, so you can't move it around for your friend's to hear you better.
