The sound is decent on this headset, not spectacular but definitely not bad at all. I got it mainly because of how easy it syncs with the PS4 ecosystem...

The quality on these headphones are ok but not the best .. battery life is not good only lasts 3 hours before you have to charge again for another 3 hours ..

The sound is loud but the quality isn't as clean and crisp as what I'm used to from Turtlebeach or Astro for fps games. It's decent for the price though.

Only lasted 13 months and was charged again for the warranty so I paid twice even though it still had another year left on the two year plan. Not recommended.

I had the older PlayStation Gold Headset, which lasted me a few years. They had great sound and we're very comfortable. The Platinum are so much less comfortable for me. When I game, I game for hours. These headphones cause so much stress to the crown of the skull before an hour of gaming has even passed. Makes it a bit unbearable. Not sure why they are 149.99. The discomfort was too much for me to want to listen for sound comparison.

Got this headset last week and was very excited because it was replacing the previous platinum model. Right out the box it looked great and had a decent charge on it, however as soon as I plug the usb into my ps4 it doesn’t come on like my previous one did. So I pull it out, restart my ps4 and re-plug the usb and it finally comes on and works as it’s supposed to. Next day I turn on my system and it again doesn’t come on like it should with the system so I have to go through the whole reset again (I have to do this every time I turn my system on and want to use my headset). Over the last couple of days the sound quality was becoming very scratchy and intermittent, and the thing that really frustrated me was i walked away from my system to my kitchen with my headset on and muted my mic, well I come back unmute my mic and try talking to my friends and they couldn’t hear me even with my mic unmuted and hearing the game audio coming through the headset, so I go into the system and try adjusting mic volume and it’s not showing me talking whatsoever. After all this I’m just going to trade these in for some turtle beach headsets and hope they work better than these Sony piece of crap

these are ok, the only reason i gave it 3 stars is becasue of the surround sound, these make my ears sweaty

I bought them for my husband to play with with playstation 4 vr headset,but we had to get a new cable that connects the headphones to the vr headset bc it stopped working ,so he had to order some more cables and they keep going out and so we think it might be the headphones but I cant return them the date to return is already past I didnt know i only had a month to return ..=(

There is stubbier part on the top where the meatball is and it hurts after wearing for long periods at a time

They work for about 2 years and you have to go through another one after static or lost sound quality. I went through about 7 altogether between base model and this one being my second platinum. I will never get a Sony based headset which is upsetting because I get better sound from a plug in headset.

Good headset. Wish you could bluetooth connect them so it doesn't take up a usb slot.

I've had this headset since November. By January it started to unpair from PS4 or the blue tooth would cut out while I'm playing 5ft away occasionally. Now jump to march , it's getting worse, it is happening 12 times a 6 hr day of playing. Stay away from this headset

Not a bad product, just don't have Bluetooth. The sound is “okay” built quality is not bad.

Yea they are great headphones but break easily. Second pair i had.

I purchased this headset for my PS4 Pro after my TB Stealth 520's snapped on me after two years of good use. Got home, right out of the box this headset looked great. Had a decent charge. I let it charge some more and once it was ready I hooked it up, no issue. Started them up and began playing Rocket League with a few buddies. After about ten minutes, the audio, chat and game, would randomly cut in and out. I tried several things I read online like distancing devices from the "dongle", which seems oddly oversized for the console's ports, but that didn't work. I realized this is an ongoing problem with any headset using 2.4 wireless frequency on PS4, and no real fixes have been found. Also, the "3D VSS" mode only works on select games and PSVR games only, so there's no real incentive on spending the $160 for a set that has rarely used features. The sound was decent but definitely not worth the price. I had high hopes for a created by and licensed by Sony PS4 product. Returned.

To tight around head, ok if you have a child head. Confusing layout of buttons on device.

The mic and the sound was a little low even though you can adjust it a bit .No software update for the headset

It seems all glamorous and nice but looks can be decieving...This is the second time I purchased a headset like this..and it will be the last...I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt....ya..should always trust your first opinion of any product you have had experience with...sorry would not recommend for anyone...tittle beach 800 is the way to go...

My ears hurt after wearing them for too long and the microphone quality is horrible.

The headset was great at first and then after a year the mic stopped working.
