IF you own a SONY TV, Don't buy it. You're Sony Remote will already control your ps5. One of the reasons I chose to return mine was due to game picture mode is different from movie mode picture I want. With that said, the sony remote is easy to use, gets to apps quickly and if you don't have a sony tv, it's a total win to buy it.

The PS 5 media remote works so well. I love it. It is so easy use. Then the controller. I would recommend it. Gamers should have this.

Not a bad remote but some issues. The white on white makes it difficult to see the buttons in a dimly lit room. Should have had backlighting. I don’t think this remote is a necessity—the controller will do everything this remote does—it’s just clunkier to use. Designwise, it integrates well with PS5. Programming was easy, including the television. However, no real need to program it for the TV. Unless you are using the actual television speakers, it’s not going to control volume of your sound bar or audio system. It is also missing one of the most important buttons—an input button, which would make it really easy to switch between your cable box and the PS5. A huge oversight.

Turns your gaming system to a full entertainment system. After usinf the remote i dont use the dualshock anymore unless I'm playing a game

The shape and weight make it very easy to use. It provides a wide coverage range.

Very functional remote, though made more for watching streaming content than physical disc-based content (as there is no button for skipping chapters). The access panel for batteries is kind of a pain to open.

Good remote. The “arrow” buttons are small but overall not a bad purchase especially if you like to watch movies/tv on PS5.

this is probably the coolest remote i've ever been through! I dont have the PS5 yet but i know the media remote is one of the coolest remotes

In my experience this is the worst of the first party accessories for the PS5... if you accept it for what it is, a basic streaming remote then it will probably work fine for you. However, if you ever want to watch a DVD / BluRay then there are some clear misses. First there is no chapter skip and Sony's pop up menu on the Playstation is still very clunky after all these years (this feature didn't get a PS5 upgrade). Second, good luck opening this up without a crowbar (or a butter knife), I thought for sure I was going to break it when I opened it the first time. Finally, my remote recently started powering on my PS5 when I simply move it... literally not touching any buttons, just picking it up and moving it. I ended up taking the batteries out and just not using it... I only wish I had returned it within the return window.

Works great and syncs right to my tv no problem. Slim design and light. Be sure not to drop it

Sony should be ashamed, this remote runs out of batteries within days. It requires you to press buttons multiple times. Garbage garbage garbage

Went out after 1 1/2. Loved it while it worked. Have to rebuy

Some of the buttons stopped working in less than 2 months and Best Buy apparently doesn't stand behind anything they sell after 14 days. They told me I had to go through Sony who just gave me the run around.

This lovely white excrement didn't work out the box. Playstation wouldn't lift a finger to replace it.
