I did not think I needed this remote because I could do the same thing with the controller. But I was wrong this is so much more convenient when I want to watch media on the PS5. Its small and compact and gets the job done.

The remote itself is modern in design and sticks with the basic buttons you’ll need. Setup is quick and easy with the PS5. Fortunately I can program it with my LG OLED TV so I can turn both TV and PS5 on or off. The remote also controls the TV volume too but I haven’t figured out how to switch inputs with it. If you use your PS5 for movies or streaming I highly recommend this media remote.

I am not big on getting remotes for consoles but my wife needed a simpler method to bounce from the apps she uses on my PS5 and boy did the controller come in handy. Its been quite great so far and it surprisingly synced up with my Pioneer Receiver, which added even more utility to the remote. Can't speak towards the battery life on the remote but I doubt its any worse than other remotes out there.

So much easier when you don’t want to mess with the controller or it’s charging. This is one of the best items I have for my PlayStation when not playing. So glad there is an option for streaming services.

Nice especially if you have a monitor like me, that way I don’t always have to use my controller and very easy to use as well. Be prepared to change the batteries every couple of months though

This is my granddaughter's review. The playstation 5 remote is a very nice remote when it comes to watching whatever streaming service you have on your playstation 5 without your controller dying because you have to keep it on to change what you want to watch. I really enjoy this remote and I love what the PlayStation 5 has going on with the white with hints of black, it makes it look clean and, on top of that, it could be hard to lose because of the bright white if you do tend to lose your remotes. Overall it is very nice and very clean, I think it is worth a buy!

I use this every time I use the PS5 for streaming (almost every day). The PS5 DualSense Controller's battery dies too quickly so this helps out with saving the battery life. This comes in handy as it runs on 2 AA batteries. I have used this for almost 4 months and have not needed to change the batteries. Easy to use, highly recommended for anyone who likes to stream off the PS5

This comes in really handy when watching movies or TV, I don't really like using the DualSense for that. You can save your controller's battery for games this way. The remote will also connect to your TV once paired to the PS5. That helps so you don't need to carry the TV remote as well. It also works with my soundbar, so it may very well work with various audio setups.

Makes watching TV easier for me. The dedicated buttons for Netflix and YouTube are a godsend. Nothing to complain about.

The only improvement is that the remote could be luminated in the dark, more user friendly.

It’s a great way to maneuver through the Home Screen! You can change the volume of the TV from the remote so if you have 2 like myself, this isn’t a bad feature! I love how you can turn on the PS5 from the home button on the remote and if you’re in the mood for Netflix or YouTube, you can access it from the remote without having to do it yourself! Overall great item!

Great remote, the dedicated buttons are awesome! Build quality is good and it feels nice to the touch. It has a little weight to it once you get the batteries in it as well. If I had to make one change I would wish the Spotify button was Amazon instead. But other than that it was very easy to setup with my PS5 and it even controls my Pioneer Receiver sound, which is sweet!

Great media remote for watching movies or streaming on the PS5 rather than using the controller. Pairing is very easy with the console and you can set it up to control your TV. The only con I have is that if you also have a sound bar that is a different make than the TV it will not control both.

Feels good in hand,super clean . This remote is a bluetooth remote. Its always connected so it maybe drain the baterry fast. Use rechargeable batteries. Some buttons are in a position that its hard to see or feel at night or dark places. Find my self turning on the lights to see the buttons. But its a good remote that matches the ps5.

It is a great way to use your PS5 as a media centered. You can turn the console on and off, it comes with batteries and very quick to program. It does feel a bit cheap on the hands but is lite and small.

Loving the remote. My PS5 is my primary media streaming device in my home theater setup, and I was getting tired of using the DualShock remote every time I wanted to stream a movie. The remote is very streamlined and has good connection. I just wish it was backlit for use in dark rooms. I also like the pre-mapped shortcut buttons, as I watch a lot of YouTube on my PS5 so having an instant shortcut is convenient.

Surprisingly satisfying peripheral. The IR functions that allow it to learn how to communicate with your television are simple to set up and while they only cover the basic functions of TV volume and power, that's enough to function as the primary remote if your console is your primary entertainment device like mine is. In comparison to the PS4 remote, this one connects with the console much faster, so you're spending more time engaging with the desired content than waiting for the remote to at first connect. Sleek, simple design and the specific streaming platform buttons make it even easier to simply jump to the content you wish to view. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the rounded bottom of the controller. It doesn't lay flat or still. It has a tendency to rock and rotate on the table when you set it down. I'm a little nitpicky about that kind of stuff. I like my products to lay flat and remain still when I set them down rather than run the risk of them falling onto the ground and becoming damaged. This is minor and doesn't take away from the overall product experience. Overall, this is one of my favorite things about the PS5. Highly recommend to any interested parties.
