Although it doesn't have all the features you might desire in a remote, it gets the job done. The PS5 and my TV quickly pair with this remote, however I'm surprised that you can't alter the HDMI output. It's good that the remote comes with AA batteries bearing the Sony brand. Make sure to click the tiny black button before peeling off the back of the remote before opening it. It initially confused me, but it gets simpler with time. Don't worry if the rear cover of the remote appears to protrude slightly from the top. With its spaceship-like appearance and other design cues, I believe Sony wanted it to complement the PS5's design language. Whether or not they were successful is up to you.
